I do the fridge at least once a year. Sometimes more if someone (hubby) puts meat in there and it runs. I can't remember the last time I did the freezer side so might be time for that. We empty the downstairs upright freezer to thaw it out (not a self-thawing one) about every other year.

Since all the shelves are removable, I clean them individually as needed. I don't remember ever completely emptying it to deep clean.

I do a general clean out and wipe down of my fridge every Saturday, I food shop on Sunday mornings. Once a month I take everything out and give it a good scrub. I usually do this the day before my monthly Costco trip. I have a separate stand up freezer. I go through that once a year and it’s on the list for this weekend.

I can't wait for the weather to warm up ( probably JUNE for this task) so I can ask my husband to take our garage fridge back in the yard and I can clean and HOSE IT DOWN. I'm going to see if he'd be willing to take the stove outside too.
I do my best to clean the kitchen fridge as needed.

For me, deep cleaning the fridge means pulling it out from its space and vacuuming/sweeping the back coils and floor. That happens twice a year now.

The fridge interior is normally cleaned on a weekly basis, one shelf per week to keep my home attendant from thinking I’m a lunatic 😜. The doors are cleaned once a month.

Its time to clean the chest freezer but has to wait until DGD gets back home in the summer.

I deep clean the refrigerator, taking out all the draws and shelves and wiping down all surfaces. I would like to think that I do it more than once a year, which is what I picked. I also randomly wipe off dirty shelves as needed. A vegetable drawer will get completely cleaned out when a vegetable melts into a slimy mess. :)

To be honest, we only deep clean the fridge when something gets spilled inside. Maybe once a year. I don't think we ever have deep cleaned the freezer side. And now that Schwans shutdown operations in California, we don't have much in there as our impulse frozen food purchases have ended. But we dearly miss Schwans.

2-3 times a year.
Spring cleaning in March this year. Fall cleaning usually in September.
And then maybe another time if things are piling up.
It's basically always clean. But I throw things out them too.
Also do the freezer.

I only remember doing a super deep cleaning once, and it was for a relative who had a medical issue that led to them neglecting things around their house for months.

Usually I just clean up the shelf or bin that had a spill or suffered from food items “shedding” or going past their prime as they occur.

Fridges, about every two months. Freezers about twice a year, occasionally a bit extra if something gets messy or I feel like it's starting to have an odor. Can't stand fridge or freezers with odors, especially ice cubes. Just a pet peeve of mine.

DW and I do it together once or twice per year. I think it's the rose petals from the fridge to the trashcan really set the mood. :p
That’s hilarious, but I will say there’s not much more attractive to me than my husband helping me with a project I’m not too excited about.

Full wipe down once or twice a year, but I keep it pretty clean as I go along. I spray the glass shelves with cleaner probably every other week at least. I usually check all food when I go for my main grocery shopping trip, about every 10-12 days, and often throw out old leftovers, plus any spoiled produce, expired condiments, or freezer burned items. Our fridge is usually not that full except before holidays or when we’re having company.

Don’t forget about the rubber door gaskets . And depending on the model removing the low outside vent thing fora good scrub down.

I don't really have a set schedule. I have a very strong need for the fridge to be organized, labels facing the right way, etc. So probably do a mini-clean every 2 weeks. Deep clean happens probably every couple months.

Don’t you love the house when you are finished the seasonal cleaning? It smells so good and it calms the mind knowing there is nothing to do-for a hot minute, LOL. 👍🏾
