I have checked out the menus still not sure where to eat. This will be New Eve so I need to decide soon. This will be a non-park day however want we to stay in our resort area which is BW/BC. We are on the dining plan so we prefer a sit down meal that evening. Any advice?

Also does the Cape May offer anything special on New Year Eve? :rolleyes1

Thanks!!! :cheer2:

we really enjoy flying fish for dinner. it is on the boardwalk and an easy walk from the BC. not sure if cape may does anything special for new year's eve.

Ok first I think you should change your plans and make another day a non park day....the fireworks at any of the Disney parks take your breath away. It is way more then your normal fireworks. I was at Epcot 2 yrs ago and can't even begin to discribe how wonderful they are....

You will definately hear the fireworks while at the BW but you won't really see the magnificant display.

I am sure that the fireworks will be great but I really don't think we could stand the crowds and I know that every park will be maxed out. We were at BW a few years back and they have a DJ there who was just wonderful and my daughter and neice want to hang out there so that is why we are looking for dinner in the area.

We are staying at the BC nad we can see some of Epcot fireworks from there are near the back entrance.

We have been on New Year's Eve about 4 or 5 times. NYE is also my birthday so I like to plan trips then! One year we went to a park and swore we would never do it again. It was WAAAY too crowded. We like to watch the fireworks from the bridge between the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. You don't get the full effect, but it's better than the crowds IMHO. We'll be back at the BW this NYE! :thumbsup2

Anyway, about your question...I would go with Spoodle's. The food there is absolutely wonderful. Have you checked out the menus on allearsnet to see what might be your favorite option? Unless I'm missing something I think your choices are Spoodles, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Yacht Club Galley, and Cape May. There are 2 others (Flying Fish and Big River Grille) but I don't think they're on the dining plan. Hope that helps!

Then I think the Flying Fish...if they still have availiblity...that would be my first choice.

We had dinner at Cape May on NYE several years ago. They weren't doing anything special that night, at least that we were aware of. But the food and service were excellent, and we really enjoyed it.

We also chose to make Dec. 31 a non-park day. We hung out at the pool, shopped at DTD, ate dinner at Cape May, and enjoyed the Boardwalk later on. We had a great time! :wizard:

Unless something has changed recently Flying Fish is on the DDP. My DS and DIL had dinner there in April. It was 2 TS credits.
They loved it.
HTH

I really appreciate the suggestion and I have checked all the menus. We have eaten at Spoodles before but since then the menus had changed.I will have 2 14 year olds with me and niether are all that fond of fish or steak. :sad2:

Thaks again forthe feedback!! :yay:

FYI - Flying Fish is on the dining plan - it's 2 TS , we have it booked for our next trip!!

My choices would be Flying Fish or Yachtsman Steakhouse or if you want a 1 TS credit, then Spoodles. I have eaten at all 3 many times and have had wonderful meals! :thumbsup2
