We are attempting to set up a vacation for the end of this year...

Our game plan is to have about 7-8 days. We LOVE the Mickey Not So Scary Party BUT, we also want to try the Merry Christmas After Party Also.

My question is, is there a way to get both parties on my trip? Do the parties overlap enough to get both? I understand that getting the Halloween party on Halloween day is difficult, but I am the type that figure out the moment it goes on sale and I will snag it.

Is it possible to get both parties on one trip?

I would look at the party dates from 2022 to see how many days from last Halloween party to first Christmas if it’s doable. You will get some Christmas decorations in early November.

Based on last year's party dates, you would have to be there from October 31 (last night for MNSSHP) through the first day of the Christmas party on November 8. I would look at trying to book your reservation now and book the tickets as soon as they open up if this is a priority on the trip for you.

That would be a pretty difficult stretch for a few reasons.

Last year, the last Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP was Oct 31 and the first Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) date was Nov 8.

This issue with this is that not only is the Halloween night MNSSHP very crowded, but the first MVMCP is also going to be full as well--every Disney news site/vlogger/blogger will be there taking photos of every single food item and recording pretty much everything. I have heard of occasions where the party-exclusive snacks/beverages have sold out on the opening dates because of this.

It's your vacation so you obviously can do both if you want, just keep in mind that both parties will be shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.

Every MNSSHP & MVMCP sold out last year. I'm not sure if they had different capacities for different nights, but assuming that they didn't the crowds should be similar for every party.

If you can only do one, I would hands down do MVMCP. I'm not a Halloween fan either but I did enjoy MNSSHP but it's a one and done for me.

Interesting! My thought is still that the first seasonal party has a different type of crowd though--lots of vloggers that are really going to try and hit every meet & greet, ride, and unique food item for their viewers--they're much less likely to leave before the party ends, in contrast to regular tourist families with kids. But that's just my theory 😃
