So DH's birthday is 9/9 and mine is 9/11. Next year we will start our cruise on mine. The plan was for us to go to Disney first so that we would be there on his birthday. If we go to Disney before the trip it will be the week of Labor day. So my question is, how busy is it starting the Tuesday after Labor day? We would love to be there on 9/9 but should we change Disney until after the cruise?

Our experience has been that it's crazy busy labor day wknd itself but the day after the holiday is over, it goes back to being pretty quiet. We usually go in Sept. I guess alot of people come down just for a long holiday wknd.

HTH's:wave:

I'd go to Disney after the cruise. The crowds will be gone (we've been there over LD weekend).

Labor day itself can be crowded but we've been 3x for the 4-5 days after the holiday and the parks are empty!! Makes for a great time and alot of walking since you are not standing in line.

So then you'll need the cruise to relax. We did the Wonder this past March after 3days in the parks and both DH and I agreed we did it in the right order. You are so relaxed after the cruise! Taking on the parks could ruin the "afterglow"!!!!

We were there last year for the week of Labor Day - and the parks really emptied out after the weekend.

Pretty much everything was a walk on.

We had to leave the day before my birthday (9/14), but it was still a great trip.

:smooth:

We were there this year after Labor Day....drove down through the remnants of Hurricane Frances....and it was wonderful! The longest we waited for any ride was maybe 10 minutes. We didn't do any Fantasyland stuff because we didn't have kids with us....line for Peter Pan looked a little long....but nothing else was bad at all. We'll probably try to make that week a regular one as often as we can.

My 2 cents.

We have gone down the week after labor day and the day after labor day. The crowds are the same, very low. If I were doing the cruise I would go on the weekend, saving points. Why pay for weekend points? If you can do the parks before and then relax on the cruise after ,saving points, you got the best of both.
