Help me pick a CD Burner

Kids would like a CD Burner for Christmas. I have a newer computer [not much more than a year old]. I'm looking at a Sony 40x Internal CD-RW Drive --- said to Burn CD's reliably in about 3 minutes. Includes software and accessories to get you up and burning CD's quickly - I wonder if this is the type of thing that my kids are looking for?

Hmm --- and I guess I would buy Audio CD's for this -- right? Not media?

An internal CD-RW made by Sony would be your best bet.

CD-Rs are ones you can burn once.
CD-RWs can be rewritten, but some CD players can't read them.

Both can be used to make audio CDs & the container will tell you how much space the CD has on them, either 700mb (or 80 mins of music) or 650mb(or 74 mins of music). You don't have to specifically buy blank audio CDs (which tend to cost more) as CD-Rs work just as well.

They're pretty easy to figure out.
