Trying to decide between 1900 park fare or Donald Safari in AK.

Anyone have an opinion to share? We haven't been to either place.

For us, we choose a character buffet on who we want to see. At Donald's, we ate there last year, food was good, nice variety, characters interaction was good. There was Donald, Goofy, Daisy and I think Mickey maybe it was Pluto. I can't seem to remember right now. If you get there early for breakfast, you can go right to the safari without much wait. That's what we did and it worked out great. The animals were up and walking around.

As for 1900 Park Fare, mornings I think still have Mary Poppins, Alice and Pooh and Tigger, Dinner is Cinderalla. Food and character interaction is good for either.

I think it still depends on what characters you want to see.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks! The idea of being in AK early and getting right on the safari is exactly why I was thinking of going there. The characters aren't really a big deal for this meal, we have a couple of other character meals booked, I'm needed to add another breakfast b/c my husband is looking for more food! I love the idea of getting to the safari early, but it looks like maybe 1900 Park Fare has better menu options so I was wondering which place had the better food.

1900 PF was terrible, I would go to Tusker House instead

Donald bfast in AK is my FAVORITE bfast at any Disney place. I love it. Super yummy and great character interaction.

We've eaten at both. And, enjoyed both immensly. If you want to get a jump inside the park, then eat at Donald's. Just understand that you will be held at a certain point if the park isn't open yet. I know that when we ate at Donald's before it changed venues, we were held at the entrance to the Midway area of AK. At 9:00 we were allowed to go and we flew to EE...got there just as the 'regular' park goers were coming down the path.

We love the breakfast at Tusker House. Great food and great atmosphere. The characters are really cute in their safari outfits.

Loved the food at both.

1900 is a little more geared toward the girls, if that helps.

Haven't tried the 1900 Park Fare breakfast (although we are planning to try it for dinner during our June trip), but we LOVED Tusker House. Almost as good as Boma, food wise, and the characters were great! Very good interaction, and you get Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey. We ate there before the park opened, and we got right on the safari. We are planning to eat there again in June!
