Help me pare down my ADR wishlist :)

That is good to know about Sci Fi. It will be my husband and I plus our three kids (10, 9, and 5).

We would probably do Kona for dinner.

I love my family, but I enjoy sitting in the cars at sci-fi not having to talk to anyone, quietly eating my meal in the a/c during a stimulating trip. Sci-fi was requested by my kids, 16 & 12, for our trip. My DS12 is looking forward to a burger, onion rings and shake!

I personally prefer 1900 Park Fare breakfast over dinner (and it is a must do it every trip), but dinner wasn't horrible by any means. 'Ohana is always a must do for us. Cape May dinner-- well I am not a seafood person at all, but sucked it up for DH and DS (after hearing there were "all kinds of options for non seafood eaters")- let me just say my options were very limited, and I ordered an adult beverage at beginning of meal as my reward for sucking it up---service was so poor I had to ask about the location of my yet to arrive beverage after I was already almost finished with dessert. I left hungry. DH and DS both said they found the seafood pretty meh, and they are seafood lovers. Now when trying to decide on ADR choices, DH "threatens" me with Cape May for my birthday dinner as a joke because even he wouldn't go back. We usually always do Sci-Fi too, but have moved it out of rotation on our next trip to make room for some new places. Kona Cafe we had great experience and food at breakfast, went for dinner in same trip and food and service were both terrible. The Edison is on our list of possibilities this trip as well, and I haven't eaten at any of the others left on your list.

I'm trying to finalize my ADR list before my 180 day window opens up on Monday. We will be on the DDP for 8 nights. We definitely want to try CRT (we've been to Disney 4 times without trying it yet so it's about time!) so that will use 2 credits, leaving 6 credits.

This is my wishlist; a few would be repeats but most are ones we've never tried:

Bon Voyage breakfast/Trattoria al Forno
Ohana dinner
The Edison
La Hacienda de San Angel
1900 Park Fare dinner
Cape May dinner
Cape May breakfast
Enzo's Hideaway
Kona Cafe
House of Blues
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater

Are any of these must-dos or the opposite?

We always pay OOP for CRT as its not a good use of TS credit. I will say that you need to eat there. We LOVE it. Or you could pay OOP for one of the other meals. We’re a family of 5 with our kids being 6, 4 and 18 months so my opinion may differ from others. I would keep Bon Voyage breakfast as it is FANTASTIC! One of the best character interactions and the food is so, so good! It’s one of our top 3 character meals. I would keep 1900 Park Fare dinner as this is also a favorite for us. The food is delish (strawberry soup, YES) and the characters are amazing. I’d also keep Ohana dinner! The food is wonderful! These 3 are a must do for us every trip.

We booked a bounceback for free dining for September from last year (we were there during Irma) and doing character meals is worth it to us cause we come out ahead! Plus, the kids love it!

Here are my thoughts and suggestions:

Bon Voyage breakfast/Trattoria al Forno........this is hard to book . I hear its great! This is on my to do list!
Ohana dinner...YUM! keep this!
The Edison..its new and I hear its great. Try it!
La Hacienda de San Angel....cancel this - you can eat Mexican food at home
1900 Park Fare dinner...The food is really good and the characters are GREAT!
Cape May dinner......have heard mixed reviews.
Cape May breakfast.....meh
Enzo's Hideaway....Another new place! Id read over the menu online and decide.
Kona Cafe...we tired it twice and were some underwhelmed BOTH times. I will never go there again. Save yourself! Seriously average food and it is soooo loud in there
House of Blues.....have not been there. have heard great reviews
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater....This is fun and the food is YUMMY!

I would keep the ones that work out the best with the rest of your plans. For example, Sci-Fi for your DHS day, Ohana, 1900PF, or Kona for your MK day, *one* of the DS ones for a pool/break/DS day, Hacienda or Cape May for Epcot, etc.

Of those Ohana's dinner is a must for us. I would also keep Trattoria and Sci-Fi (incredible atmosphere and theming).

Thank you for all the great input! We've tentatively narrowed down the list but of course there's still time before Monday morning for adjustments. lol

Cinderella's Royal Table (dinner)
1900 Park Fare (dinner)
'Ohana (dinner)
Biergarten or The Edison
Tusker House (dinner)
Cape May (breakfast)
Bon Voyage (breakfast)

Seriously spent too many hours agonizing over these choices. I guess it just means I have to go back to Disney soon for more! :earboy2:

Totally understand, I spend at least 60 hours planning our trip, and everyone wonders WHY it runs so smoothly. Because MOM does all the work. We are going in December for the first time ever during the holidays, a hard time I hear for some reservations, so just book hardest first in order, from your list, I would say CRT, BON Voyage, and then Ohana, the others will be easy. We never booked a trip this far out. Normally 60-75 days and lots were gone, but I just kept refreshing and we have always gotten everything we wanted. Also, another post this morning on Dining, said they scored at 6am the morning of for hard reservations. You can always change your mind. Hope you will report back and let us know how it went. I have to wait until June to make mine.
