Hello, We'll be celebrating my 30th b-day while at WDW this summer. Where should we go for dinner that it would be special, and they may do something for me (I know it's not a sure thing). I want to use the dining plan. Any help would be GREAT.

Since I see you have been to WDW before, why not just pick your favorite place to eat and let them know it is your birthday when you make ADRs. I believe all of the places will give you some kind of "special" treat. I have also noticed that some CM's go more overboard than others so it isn't always reliable to say you will get star treatment at one place over another.

O.K., thanks. I haven't been to Coral Reef in awhile, and see it has moved from 2 points to 1 on the dining plan so we may do that since we stand a chance at a quiet meal if the kids are entertained by the fish (wishful thinking). If you've eaten there recently what did you think of the food?

Just had my birthday dinner at the Brown Derby. It was GREAT! Food and service were excellent. restayrant was quiet, not too loud. It really felt like a special occasion. Wish I could have my birthday here every year.

Sounds good, but my only hesitation with Brown Derby is that we have two young kids, how is it for families with small children?

We went to Cal Grill for my last two birthdays and it was WONDERFUL. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. We will be there in February again (for my 30th Birthday, also!) and we are going to Cinderella's Royal Table for the Big Day!! More than anything, I want to be a kid on the Big Three-Oh!

Ask for "It's My Birthday" buttons at Guest Services on your way into each park. CM's look for those, and you'll get more Happy Birthday wishes than you'll know what to do with, in restaurants, on rides, in shops, walking down the street, everywhere. Just celebrated my 50th that way, in October. Watch out for Sci-Fi Drive-In, tho, they'll make you stand on your car seat, holding a melting ice cream sundae, while the whole restaurant sings to you!

I will be celebrating my 30th this summer as well!!!!! Happy B-day!!!

I would choose Ohana's because it has a nicer atmosphere, yet is kid friendly. We love it and are going back next weekend. You can celebrate in a more adult place, yet the kids still get the attention and ammenities they need!

We'll be at WDW for my 39th this year. After a brief family meeting, we settled on CP for my birthday lunch. My daughters appear to have remembered my fondness for Tigger from our last trip where Tigger and I bounced around our table together at 1900 Park Fare during our last trip.

My DW appears to have lost the top of Tigger's head, and you can't really see me too well from the paw position, but here's the picture from the end of our bouncing session.

In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing Tigger again, and even more looking forward to my kids reaction...I think that evening my DW and I may take a stroll on the beach at the Poly after the kids are asleep with grandma holding down the fort in the rooms.

That sounds halarious and fun, the picture was great. Thanks for the ideas.

We brought our girls 6 and 8 with us to Brown Derby and they enjoyed it very much. Children are welcomed there based on our experience. There were tables with younger children there as well.
