Guys my brand new DH and I are only 13 days away from our honeymoon at WDW. I am so excited I can't stand it! Tonight I am putting the finishing touches on our costumes for MNSSHP and I finished the lanyards I made for pin trading and holding our room keys and such. I slowed up on the obsessive planning so I wouldn't burn myself out. I even refuse to look at threads with pics (especially the towel animal pics on the resort board) so I'll be surprised when we arrive (though I have been there countless times before).
So my beef is DH...or as I call him "Captain Anxiety". Sure he's thrilled to be going not just to WDW, but on vacation in general. He works two jobs and hasn't been on a vacation in almost 4 years (me too BTW). We run our own business (a horse farm) and he is totally freaked out about leaving the business "home alone" while we are away. His mom is staying in our house to watch our 3 dogs (our kids hehehehe) and our boarders (we board horses) are all pitching in to take care of the horse (all 18 of them) while we are away. My vet is on standby in case of an emergency and I have my assistant riding instructor stopping by daily to check in on the place. I also have my good friend Larry who is also a horse farm manager who just moved 10 miles away (he used to be in NY, we are in NC) and Larry has said he will drop what he's doing and come running if there are any problems.
ALL our bases are covered, but DH is still worried. I am too, in my own way, but like leaving your kid home for the first time, you have to cut the cord sometime! We NEED this trip like you can't imagine. I trust all the people who are stepping in to help out while we are gone...this is why I am not so worried. DH is also worried about getting phone calls on our cell while we are in the middle of WDW from one client in particular who is a royal PITA.
How can I get DH to loosen up and just relax and enjoy the magic?
