Help me find the perfect crossbody

I have 2 Disney leSportsac classic hobos. I have an older IASW print, and I got the Mickey & Minnie Hawaiian one last year. They have nice wide straps and are light bags so I don't usually get tired of holding it.
I sometimes even have me DSLR with me in it.

I like the bags by Haiku. I got the Wander. It can be used as a cross body or a convert to a backpack. I got mine on Zappos. They have a lot of different styles. Super lightweight and has a water bottle pocket inside.

I also have a Kavu rope sling bag and love it. It has multiple pockets and I like the sling so I can have both hands free.

I have used a bag like this but different print for every trip, I have never had sore shoulders etc.

I usually use a lightweight/purse backpack for long park days because I find that distributing the weight on both shoulders is most comfortable.

For shorter days, like at Disney Springs, or resort hopping, I usually carry a Baggallini as a crossbody: lightweight but with lots of compartments for easy storage.

Sling bags like Kavu can look weird if you are large chested...

Also, in the summer I can get away with a MUCH smaller bag than I can in the cooler months when I might want a place to store a jacket or sweatshirt.

I take a Vera Bradley crossbody to the parks. I have bought others (I don't like VB), but nothing is as comfortable as that soft, wide, cotton strap. Plus, I constantly wash/dry it and it feels great to start the day with it clean in the FL heat. I'd like to find another type of crossbody I like better, but so far, comfort wins out.

Like another poster, I also like my kipling crossbody. It's the Aisling model. It's a decent size (not too big, not too small), very lightweight and the strap is a nice width and length. I purchased mine at a deep discount on Amazon - they are normally $89, but there's always one or two that are half off because they are older colors, etc. Right now it's the light blue color: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0Q0U1Y/ref=twister_B00KU2UOLS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I feel like I've tried them all and by mid-afternoon they start to feel heavy and my shoulder is sore. I don't carry a lot so what I'm carrying really isn't heavy. I'm not sure if I'm just not using one with the right kind of strap.

I like the Bagallini bags with the wider straps and very lightweight. Best is no bag at all.

I use an EBags Piazza (linked above) as my daily purse and love it. Best organized purse I've ever used. With two little kids, I need something bigger in the parks, though.

I have used several brands including Vera Bradley and Coach. I recently bought a Kavu crossbody and so far it's my favorite. I plan to use it at WDW this Summer.

I use a lesportsac bag. They have a few different crossbody options and the bags themselves are very lightweight. This is the bag I have and they even have a few different Disney prints. https://www.lesportsac.com/Classic_Hobo

Currently they have Bambi and Moana. I have a tinkerbell bag from a few years ago and they get different Minnie and Mickey prints from time to time as well.
I have the hobo style in the It's a Small World print. Love it! It's comfy & just the right size for more than a wallet & phone. Not too big though.

Another vote for Kipling, in particular SYRO, which you can find on Amazon. The strap is thick and does not cut into my boney shoulder, and the mid size has several compartments and holds a lot. I have it in several colors and take it every time I go to Disney.

I even carry a water bottle in the back zip pocket on its side. And in the front flap Velcro pocket I keep my iPhone where I can grab it quickly for pictures.
Highly recommend this bag.

Love my Travelon! I had to have a bag that was wide enough to hold my camera and this one fit the bill. One of the best parts is the end pockets will hold a 20-ounce bottle.

My mom uses a Travelon Anti-Theft Crossbody bag. They have a few different styles and colors. Its nylon so easy to clean, she finds it lightweight and comfortable, and there are theft deterrents on it which is a bonus (slash proof, zippers can lock together and hide in a pocket, RFID blocking, etc.)

I have a bag from PacSafe. It's the "metrosafe100-with exomesh" model. The strap is adjustable and it's just under 1 inch wide. For being a fairly small cross-body bag, it holds a lot and has a lot of separated storage space inside it. I think I got it at REI.

I like the Vera Bradley Hipster...(not the mini). The strap is wider, and the length is adjustable. Bonus that they come in Disney prints too.

I also vote this bag is super comfortable. I even have worn the little Hipster which looks like this

I found this bag perfect. the front zip is a wallet area that has 3 CC slots, 1 ID slot and a pouch to store cash. its pretty big you can probably fit gum,and other flat things in there as well. The inside pocket isnt huge but it fit my portable battery, phone, wipes and sunglasses along with a zipper area for female items and the back has a magnetic flap that I store park maps and napkins.

Id go with the bigger one to fit more stuff like sunscreen and what not. the small one is perfect if you wanna travel light

Different Vera option. I find the Hipster to be too small sometimes, and I personally like a thicker strap with lots of compartments. I use the Vera Bradley Triple Zip Hipster.

Its adjustable, comfortable and I've found a bunch at Marshalls and TJ Maxx as of late. This is literally what I'll be using for my upcoming May trip after having used regular shoulder bags, clutches, and backpacks.

I know you asked for a crossbody, but the exact same complaints you had are what made me switch to a small backpack and I'm 100% happier with it. It's a knock-off (of a Fjallraven Kanken), but well-made. Space is great, it's water resistant (never had anything inside get wet, even when I was splashed), it has side pockets for water bottles, several pockets inside including an ipad/media padded pocket. Most importantly, the two straps distribute the weight between my shoulders.

I use this in the parks and in Italy too. I've gotten compliments! The opening is pretty wide so though I have to go through bag check, opening it up is easy and it's also easy to see inside. This baby is not huge, but because of the shape can fit a ton. I usually have my wallet, sunglasses, raincoat, phone, sun block, maps, fresh fruit, energy bars, small bags of nuts and water with me. There is still room to spare after all of these.

It looks like this:

I use a Donner from Overland Equipment. Tons of pockets and storage but still very small and lightweight. It's durable, washable, and quick drying. I had a pen blow up inside it and was able to wash out most of the ink.
I adore my Donner bag. Unfortunately, I believe Overland Equipment is out of business and there are no new Donner bags to be found. Maybe on ebay? Sadly, mine is bright teal, but that doesn't stop me from using it! I love the side pockets for water or hair brush or glasses case, or even an umbrella!

I like the Le Sportsac ones. They have some in Disney patterns too. Washable, ok in the rain too. Lightweight, not bulky like Dooneys.
