I want to buy my wedding planner and photographer an inexpensive gift for helping my out in the lead up to the wedding. I was thinking something Australian would be nice, but all I can think of is kangaroo scrotums, and no, I'm not giving them that :lmao:

What do you suggest? Under $50 would be preferable.

Thanks :goodvibes

What about if you put together a little hamper of aussie goodies like Tim Tams, Vegemite, Milo, Jaffas, Fantales (even some Nescafe and a block of Cadbury choc because those poor Americans have such horrible coffee and chocolate) etc. I think that would be a great gift and you could definately do it for $50 or under :thumbsup2

That's an awesome idea! And easy too

That is a good idea :). I was going to suggest a nice bottle of Aussie wine as well.

hmm, I might add that too, however DF's dad, who is Australian, but living over there tells me every time he sees me about how Australian wine seems to be cheaper over in the states :confused3

I don't know... Taxes or something.... :rotfl:

Doesn't mean I can't buy it over there though...

Bec, forget the Australian wine because you can buy it at 95% of the supermarkets in the states for as little as $3 a bottle. I like the chocolates, Tim Tams etc idea. Make sure you throw in Violet Crumble because they haven't got anything like it except as the specialty chocolate shops and it's the consistency of granite.....a dentists best friend. Also how about a book of Australian Photos for the photographer. Definitely get that for under $50.

if you will be buying wine, you could get wine bottle holder. Can't post links as I am new here, but you can find what I am talking about by searching in google "wine holder australia". If you close to Sydney, in Paddys' market you can get these for 15-20$

Duty free Bundy is what we are taking for everyone. There were QLD'ers at Knoxville last year sharing theres and they all loved it but we were told you cant buy it there. I don't know if this is correct but we didn't see it.
