I am getting closer to finalizing my plans for December. Taking everything into consideration, which of these options do you think would be the best deal:

I'm going to WDW from 12/12-12/18, staying at ASMu. Here are my options:

Deal A: Room Only from Hotels.com = $425. (This would be the same as using the 25% off deal from WDW). My park pass will come out to $175 with my GAD discount. So the total is $600, not including food.

Deal B: Room + 2 Days Pass ($175) + Quick Service Dining Plan = $787. I can upgrade my pass using my Give-A-Day-Get-A Day Discount, so there's no additional cost. However, I'm not thrilled about getting dessert AND Snacks, since I don't need 4 of those a day.

Deal C: Room + 2 Day Pass + Free $200 Gift card to use in the parks = $787. This might be best as I am not limited to spending the $200 gift card on food.

I think they are relatively the same monetarily, but if someone sees something I'm missing, let me know. I am so confused!

Thank you!!

Based on these 3 scenarios, option 3 sounds like it affords you the most freedom. If one night you want to eat at a TS instead of a CS, you can, since you have a gift card and are not on the CS plan. Me personally I would make ADRs at a TS for each night in case once there you decided you wanted to have a nice meal. If not you could always cancel it and head on over to a CS in World Showcase. :)

You're only going to the parks for 2 days? Am I reading that right?

Deal C sounds the best to me as well. I did a similar package when I was down in the beginning of April with a $300 Gift Card for staying in a Value. I also stayed in ASMu. Not a bad location. I used part of that gift card to put the down payment on my bounce-back in December, got a few nice souvenirs and still have some value remaining on the card.

When I was down there in April. I had purchased the QS DP, and I thought I was doing well during the trip. On the last day I found I still had a bunch of snacks left over from the week. So, if you're not a big snack eater, or don't eat 2 regular meals each day, the DP may not be as much of a value for you as it sounds.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks! I was trying to figure out if there was some flaw in my logic that I am missing. I think I'm just going to keep my hotel reservation and pay for everything else when I get there.

As for the ticket: I have a Give-A-Day-Get-A-Day voucher and from what I understand, it's value is worth one free day of admission or $87. 7-Day Magic Your Way ticket is $263. $263-$87 (1 free day) is $176.

I probably should have just put $175 for the ticket in my equation. Less confusing.

Yep, I don't see any flaws in your logic. Unfortunately by the time I had available time from work and other activities, the Give-A-Day Get-A-Day program was already over so I didn't get to participate in that. Have a good trip!

The Give-A-Day program expires on December 15th. It looks like you might just make it.

Personally, i would go with option A.... although option C is a close 2nd.

I am not a big fan of the meal plans... As a solo traveller, I don't like to plan my meals... and, I rarely eat that many big meals... I prefer to graze at the parks, and pack sensible snacks.
