I am surprising my daughter and bringing her to DL for her 12th birthday (well my DH actually surprised me for my birthday in August - said your present is you and Jess get to go to DL!). We are for sure in the parks Oct 2-6 with tickets for the Halloween party on the 6th and flying home early on the 7th. I can't decide if it is worth spending the $$ and flying in late on Oct 1st or flying in early on the 2nd (earliest flight I can get out of BC is arriving at LAX at 1053am). With Gay days going on, do you all think it would be worth doing EE on the 2nd? I expect the 3-5 will be as bad as July was so one calmer day would be nice but we are staying at the DL hotel so a break in the hotel $$ would be nice too.

I keep going back and forth and need to book this flight asap..thought I would throw it out there and get some expert advise :)

TIA,
Stina

For me, being there for 5 days would be plenty, even if it was crowded. I would go early and take advantage of the lower crowds. Leave around lunch and then go back for dinner and evening rides.

Our usual trip to DL is Monday through Friday, with an earlly flight on Monday and a later flight on Friday so we can tour for 5 days and it works out pretty good for us.

We always fly into SNA so I'm not sure on travel time but I think it's in the neighborhood of an hour from lax, so between travel time and checking in at DLH you could potentially be in the parks by 1pm or so.

You would be saving a bunch of money by not spending an extra day at the DLH, but, with that being said, if you don't get to go to disneyland very often it may be worth the extra night just to eek out as much from your vacation as you can!. We always take a car service from the airport, just so we don't have to wait for the bus so we can have an extra hour in the parks, so sometimes you have to spend a little extra to get the maximum out of your trip.

Done - coming in Weds night so we can make the most out of Thursday - yay!

I think you made the right choice!! Have fun!! We will be there the same time :)

We are there the same time too! Driving to Seattle from Vancouver BC on the 30th flying on the 1 in the parks 2-6 and home on the 7th. Hoping the parks are not to crazy busy.

I think Fri-Sun will be crazy:( I have never been when the crowds aren't insane (both times in July). Oh well I am going to utilize early mornings and hope that Thursday and Monday aren't too bad.

Can't wait:cheer2:
