We currently have ressies at POR. But I had the AAA agent price 2 rooms at POP. Only $50 extra total for the package. We've only stayed at POP before. Will have a car. Would it be worth it to move from a mod to a value for more room? What do you all think?

I just did - We're a family of 5, kids are 14, 11 & 9. We've done POR several times, but we've just outgrown it. We can't do one bathroom anymore. We got two rooms at ASMU for a total of $149/night during August. That's just too good to pass up. We love POR, but comfort and sanity is coming first this time!

How many in your party? What are their ages? How long are you staying for? Have you been to WDW before?
We need more info to offer you good advice.

There are five of us, ages 9, 7, 6 for the kids--2 adults. I am actually thinking we are going to leave it at POR because I don't like the idea of my young kids being in a separate hotel room. I have only been to WDW once and stayed at POP. We do not have enough $ to spring for a deluxe and there are no family suites left at the value.

Since your children are young/small enough, I say stay at POR this time. In a few years, when the children are too old/large for the trundle bed, you will be forced to go with 2 rooms, a cabin or the deluxes. So, do it now and experience another resort/theme while you can.

Yeah, that sounds best. After all, they sleep in the same bed with us when we travel, anyway. I really think the trundle will be unused, the girls will be in one bed with me, and the boy will be in the bed with dh.

Ahhh, I miss those days! I'm not too thrilled about the 5 of us not in the same room, but now that my kids are older, I am looking forward to the extra space, bathroom & TV. I do cherish all of our vacations snuggled in one room, though. Good family memories!
