I made ressies at CSR at the $94 rate. I like this rate and have worked my budget around spending this much there. I am not really "in love" with CSR although I have read the nice posts about thoes that do and like the pool, so I thought I would try it and see what I thought after I got there. The problem is I would really like to stay at BWI. I like the theme better at BWI, they also have a great pool and I like the idea of being able to walk to so many things. Of course the reason I haven't switched is that the rate at BWI is $240. I just can't justify in my mind paying 2.5 times more per night for it. What would you all do?

TIA for any advice!

Jennifer

I'd stay at the CSR if money is an issue. BWI has a lot of renovations going on right now. Many of the villas are not being booked for May. Therefore you might not even get a room there. Anyhow, if you are going to spend the majority of your time at the parks, save the money for souvenirs! If the kids want a good swimmimg experience, take them to TL or BB! That's just my opinion. I know it can be hard to do it all at WDW, so do what you can afford and ENJOY!

CSR is the closest to a deluxe you will get for a moderate price. Being that it is a convention resort, it includes many extras in the room that you may not get at other resorts. Coffee maker & coffee in room, iron, ironing board, etc. Check out my info page below.

Due to the renovations going on right now I would save the money and splurge next time.

We are trying the CSR for the first time in May and are really excited about it.....:D :D

CSR is a fantastic resort, especially at $94. And the Boardwalk does have rennovations going on...however if you still want to try there, I would suggest looking into DVC rentals. You could end up paying about the same for Sunday through Thursday as you are paying at CSR (we are staying at the Boardwalk in December from Sunday through Wednesday, renting 12 points a night for $9 per point - $108 total per night, no tax). You might need to resort hop for Friday and Saturday night (then the points would have been 22 points, so we are staying our first night at Wilderness Lodge - a good excuse to resort hop as any). Also, if Boardwalk is not available, there is a possibility that the new Beach Club Villas might be available for DVC rental, although I'm not too sure on that.

If you can't get DVC, then my choice would be, if I were in your situation, to stay at CSR. There is one more advantage to being at CSR that the other moderates do not have. There is a direct bus from CSR to the Boardwalk. Enjoy your trip.

I would stick with CSR. You have the bus that goes directly from CSR to the BW so you can spend time there dining, walking around, surrey bikes, shopping. Maybe you can stay there on a future trip. Have fun!!:)
