We are staying at BWV in Feb. :yay: After much thought and menu/number crunching I've decided NOT to do the dining plan. We loved it back in 2008 when it was half the price (and we only had 1 paying chlld) so it was a really hard decision. Biggest factor is my one daughter is 12 (disney adult) and a picky eater (other DD is 8 and also picky). I would rather save the $1600 in cash and pay OOP. Since we are using DVC points we aren't able to get the stay/play/dine discount either.

This is what I have planned so far, what do you think?

Arrive Friday night- no planned meals (DD or resort area)
Sat: 50's PTC for lunch
Sun: O'hana character breakfast
Mon: Akershus breakfast -Considered doing lunch instead but DH wasn't impressed with the lunch choices.
Tues: off site- hoping to get to Univ. for Harry Potter World for DD12
Wed: Hoop De Doo Review at 8:15pm but now that we aren't doing the dining plan I may want to switch this to the 6pm
Thurs: Le'Cellier or Yachtsman Club for dinner
Fri: Tusker house for breakfast- not sure we are keeping this one-but wanted to have it as an option; Tappen Edo for dinner
Sat: check out- no park planned but we have all day (9pm flight) - resort and maybe DD - maybe Whispering Canyon? (if we didn't spend too much the rest of the week!)

I also want to make it over to Beaches & Cream for the kitchen sink- will we need reservations for that?

I need to decide between either Le'Cellier or Yachstman. :confused3 We ate at Le'Cellier in 2000 and LOVED it. Read some reviews it isn't as good anymore-the only reason we picked it was because of the experience 14 years ago- so not much of reason actually!

Should we keep Tusker house? or cancel that and just do Whispering Canyon? Thoughts on HoopDeDoo time?
Any thoughts or opinions you can give to sway me one way or the other!
I think I'm just not able to think straight anymore!

TIA!!

We also loved LeCellier in 2009 when we were there. We are repeating it this year, but I did also look at Yachtsman.

I showed the menus to my family, and let them vote, so I didn't have to make the decision!

Have not been to Tusker house, but seems to have great reviews. We also love Teppan Edo, and are doing again this year.

If you are going to Beaches and Cream at a non meal time, I don't think you will need ressies.

Beaches & Cream used to be no reservations, now it excepts reservations. With it being a small location, few tables, I wouldn't risk not making reservations for something you really want to do. FWIW, we made ADRs just for dessert.

Also Stay, Play & Dine was just released this week--- discount on room, tickets & dining. So more people making ADRs.

You didn't mention when in February. Consider your ADR window is now open, Valentine's, President Day, Mardi Gras & WDW Marathon all in same month in 2015. So this February will probably be busier than past February for crowd calendar.

As OP suggests check out menus. Dining Plan may be worth it based on your restaurants.
