I'm just beginning to plan a trip in March/April. We've stayed at all of the DVC resorts except 3 - Bay Lake, Boardwalk, & Grand Floridian. I know this is partly dependent on which is available, and that we may get to stay at our "home" anyway, but I thought I'd ask ... Which of the 3 would you choose, and why? I've read reviews and have a good idea of what to expect, but I'm wondering what people would choose if they had only these 3 to choose from.

We just got back from a split stay between BLT and BWV. Totally different experiences and both locations can't be beat. We'd do it again in a heartbeat so I'd say do both! Points to stay at VGF are way high but if the opportunity arises that sounds like it would be nice.

I concur.

BWV hands down. So much to do on the Boardwalk with Jugglers and Magicians every night. You are within walking distance to Epcot and Disney Studios. Across the way you can relax on the Beach Club Villas beach.
Can walk to miniature golf via the Swan Hotel. I could go on forever. Easily my favorite.

Kind of depends on the make-up of your group. If you have little ones and will spend a good portion of your time at MK, then stay at BLT. If you are all adults and plan on spending a few days at the Epcot F&G, then BWV. If you have tweens or teens, then BLT and BWV split, so you are within walking distance to all of the parks, except AKV.

If you really want to try out VGF, then now would be a good time to do it, as it should be easier to get reservations, since a large portion of the declared points are yet to be sold.

I think that time frame is Flower & Garden @ Epcot. I am partial to BW but really it depends on what parks you want to visit & what you plan to do. Looks like you stayed @ BC- how did you like the BW/Epcot resort area? It also might be a good opportunity to check out a monorail resort. The VGF is heavy on points but as it sells out, it will probably be harder to get into. BLT has TOTW which is great for viewing fireworks, access for Wilderness Lodge area, and is a monorail resort. They also have a community hall. Perhaps, what is available during your dates of travel, will make the decision for you? Good luck!

So far of that group you stated I have stayed only at BW. But as others say...depends on what you want to do most during your stay and, alas, availability of any of these. Each has its own "atmosphere"...so choose. If you have a large group however a mid-stay change may take too much time while you are there. What means the most to you...location/location....or atmosphere?
