We're going in either August or September, with two kids, will be age 4 and 6. Kids will not share a bed so we need a room with three beds of some kind. Last trip we stayed at WL with a bunk room and the kids loved it, it worked out well for us. Tell me about the rooms at other deluxe resorts that have more than two queen beds in a room. Also, no villa, too pricey and too much space that we don't use (we've stayed at AKV and BCV before). We stayed at BC, CL once before and were not fans because of the "possibility" that we'd get a daybed and we didn't get one so it didn't work well for our kids. Are there other deluxe resorts that have bunk beds in rooms or two queens and a fold out bed or daybed that are guaranteed?

I think AKL has bunks in some of the rooms?

No, they won't guarantee a daybed. It will go in as a request, but that's it. Definitely no guarantee.

The only other option other than the villas are the family suites at AoA, etc, but those aren't deluxe.

You can book a bunk bed room at AKL. It's a fabulous resort. You kids would LOVE watching the animals. (There are lots of public viewing areas if you book a standard or pool view room.) Lots of people complain about the distance to the parks. The only park we found with a longer bus ride was MK (about 20 minutes ride time). The other parks had about the same bus ride time as the other resorts. (We've stayed at WL, BC, CR, POR, & AKL.)

All the deluxe resorts, except for AKL & WL, have rooms with day beds. I don't think they are standard or bookable, so you aren't guaranteed getting a room with one.

You might also consider a FW cabin. They sleep 6, have bunk beds, a LR & BR, plus a full kitchen with outside grill. I don't think I'd stay there unless I have a car because the bus route seems longer. (FW bus to main depot, then park bus.) It would be nice as you could tuck the kids into bed in the BR and spend time in the LR watching TV, etc without waking them. Your kids would also have lots of room to run around as the cabins are separate.

i thought that both Poly and GF rooms all have daybeds but someone may want to correct me if i am wrong. with that said, can't you just get one of the deludes that has larger room sizes (monorail resorts) and then if they don't have a daybed, ask housekeeping for a rollaway bed for the room?

We stayed at AKV in a savanna view room last year, it was nice, but the walk was just too much, along with super long bus rides everywhere and we'd had it…FW sounds nice but a lot of walking there too

The Polynesian rooms have daybeds, I've stayed there several times and always had a "couch" in the room. I absolutely love this resort. Walking along the beach with the castle in the foreground, great food options, close proximity to Magic Kingdom and the.transportation options just can't be beat.

Do all the rooms at the Poly have daybeds/couches?

I believe you can request a rollaway, but they won't even guarantee that.

I don't know about the Poly, but I know the GF does not have daybeds in all of the rooms

We've stayed at the Polynesian in all levels except the suites and have never not gotten the couch/day bed. I'd say its a pretty safe bet you would get one. Sounds like a good fit for your family.

We stayed at the Contemporary this year and one of the reasons that we chose it was because it had a guaranteed day bed in every room (garden wing and tower). My 18 year old niece slept on the day bed all week and said it was very comfortable.

Yes, all Poly rooms have a daybed (couch that folds out into a single bed). My kids love it...my son gets the daybed, my daughter gets the other queen and they have their own comfy spaces.

The Poly and CR are the only deluxe resorts that have a daybed in all rooms. As others have posted, along with WL, AKL also has bunk beds. Pool view, savanna view, and Arusha view are all bookable categories for bunk beds. Bunk beds are available on CL, but are only a request. YC is the same as the BC with only some rooms having a daybed. I know BWI has daybeds, but I'm not sure if all rooms come with one as we've never stayed there.

I always thought the GF had a daybed in all rooms too, but on our December 2010 stay I found out differently as we got a dormer room that didn't have one.

Do all the rooms at the Poly have daybeds/couches?

Yes.

Thank you all! Can anyone confirm that BWI rooms all have daybeds? I will avoid BC/YC for now since I don't want to get stuck without a daybed like last time, that was miserable. I don't think GF is in the budget (I wish) but Poly might be, or we may just do WL again. I'm glad we have options though. I may also be able to talk DH into the CR tower room…anyone know if they are noisy due to opening onto the monorail concourse?

I've stayed in a CR tower room and I did not find it to be noisy. There is more noise from Chef Mickey's than the monorail though...if you're directly over the restaurant, you may hear some noise. However, if you are rope-droppers or your kids just wake up early anyway (I don't have kids but I know my 3 YO nephew automatically wakes up with the sun every day!), you'll be fine.

CR rooms are very nice and you can walk to the MK from that resort, which is a huge bonus at closing time, especially with small children.

Good luck picking a resort and have fun!!!

Highly recommend the Poly. Poly rooms have day beds.
