It has been nine days since I mailed payments for my DVC loans and dues and they still have not received them yet. The lady in member accounting says that payments are posted on the same day that they receive them. I can't afford double payments or I would overnight them new payments and I do not have that big of a balance on my credit cards.
How long does it usually take for any of your payments to post when mailed?
I have called member accounting and emailed them but have not received a response. I will try again in the morning and check to see if the payments have cleared the bank.
I wouldn't freak out so much but we were behind on our payments on one loan and this would completely catch us up. ($2500 between loans and dues)
What should I do?
Thank you,
Regina

Overnight them a new cheque and have them put a note on your file that if the first cheque arrives it's not to be cashed.

Call them, explain that you are going to put a stop order on check one and overnight check two. You need to tell them because otherwise if they depoist check one with the stop order they can charge you! Make sure they note this in your file so you are covered if they do try to deposit check one.

hi i'm not a member yet. i would see if your bank offers online bill payments. that way you don't have to worry about autopay, or your check getting lost in the mail. i would contact ms if it is near your due date and charge it to your bank card and cancel the check.

Putting a stop payment order on the lost check and sending a new check is your best bet.

You can arrange to have your loan and dues payment automatically taken from your bank account each month. It's easy to set up, and will prevent you from going thru all this worry in the future. I'm not sure if it's Member Services or Member Accounting that sets this up, but I'm sure someone here will know.

I would place a stop payment on the check and make the payment through the MS website. The website allows online payments (I have my dues/loan deducted from my savings account so I've never done this).

Member accounting would set you up on an autopayment each month.
