We were at a wedding 2 weeks ago, the meal for the reception was different types of pasta and sauces. One of the sauces had peas and I believe either ham or bacon in it. My DH and kids really liked it and I would like to try it at home. Thanks!

sounds like a carbonara sauce.

I don't have a recipe, but if no one responds with one soon, I'm sure a web search will turn up a few.

that does sound like carbonara! its one of my favorites!!

here is the recipe i use, or close to it because i never measure

1 box spaghetti (linguini works good too!)
1-2 T olive oil
4 slices bacon, cut up and cooked till crispy and drained on paper towel
1(or as much as you like) garlic cloves, minced
2 large eggs
1 (or more) cups parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup heavy cream
black pepper and salt

1. Cook pasta and while its cooking (during last few moments) make sauce.
2. mix eggs and parm and cream in bowl.
3. heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. add garlic and saute (do not burn the garlic!!!). add drained pasta and toss. take OFF heat.
4. add egg/parm to skillet and stir REALLY well with the pasta or you'll get scrambled eggs.
5. serve!!
