I'm confused as well. You can't be using wireless internet at All Stars unless you were on your phone, and you've already said you were on your laptop.
Why wouldn't you just go to the Parks? Your keys don't have your tickets on them? I can't really see a hotel manager not giving you your tickets.
How do you know your room was dirty if you didn't get to go to your room?
I use my notebook without wifi or a connection all the time...I have Verizon and pay extra every month for x amount of time. It's not a lot of time, but it's something. Makes it nice if I get stuck somewhere without a connection.
In any case....it always seems that people have the time to post about all the bad stuff that is happening to them. But, once it starts to work out, they kind of forget about all of us, sitting here, waiting to see how it went.
I have to say that I have stayed at all levels of resorts...actually really like the values even though I own DVC at two resorts. Just booked Music for some extra time in WDW with my dd after our DVC stay in August. However...I digress.
Every single resort is going to have the chance of having rude people in it. I have stayed at Music at the same time as the PopWarner kids..both football players and the cheerleaders. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the food court was busy at the expected times. But, we just changed our meal times and were fine...we got there earlier than the kids and had no issues.
We had no trouble with the girls cheering at off hours. Yes, they could get noisy on the buses but what the heck. It was the bus, I wasn't trying to sleep.
As for the resort being dirty.....I hate to be argumentative, but I find that very hard to believe. Disney resorts are ridiculously clean. I have to wonder if perhaps the OP happened upon something that had just occured and maintainance hadn't had a chance to fix it yet.
Noisy neighbors is going to happen everywhere. Heck, it can be happening at SSR for all we know. The worst neighbors I have had, to date, were at the Polynesian. Two different sets of neighbors during our stay....the room changed over to new guests mid-week. They were incredible. I knew every single thing one family was saying all the time. The first family seemed to think that screaming at their children all the time was going to make them behave. Going to bed at night was horrific...and that's all I'm going to say about that one!!!
My high school is sending it's band/orchestra down to WDW on Monday. I have already mentioned to a few of the chaperones the situations that the kids can find themselves in, behaviour wise. I really hope that our kids don't make anyone else uncomfortable. It is really up to chaperones to make sure the kids are behaving...especially at the resort level. The quarters are too close in most of those resorts for high jinx of any kind. It's all about respect for others. It's nice that you are there to compete, or to perform. But that does NOT give you the right to act out and make other guests suffer.
