HELP! Ink in clothes in dryer.

An ink pen went through the washer & dryer with most of work clothes. I really don't have many clothes & just returned to work. I was trying to make do and slowly add to my wardrope. Any suggestions on getting set in ink stains out of an entire load of clothing?

Do a google search and you'll find lots of tips. I've had this happen and with ALOT of scrubbing and soaking and washing, the ink all came out. Just know you I found no quick fix.

Been there, done that with my ex husbands white button down work shirts. I was devastated. I found an idea in a book I was given for my wedding that suggested I use cheap aerosol hairspray (aquanet), spray the ink stains with it liberally and throw them back into the washer. They came out spotless.

Rubbing alcohol will also remove ink. I used that in the dryer itself.

I used to work in a department store and we kept a bottle of hairspray around for when an ink pen mark got on clothes. It was amazing how it took the mark right out with a spray and a little rubbing.

I don't know if this would work once it has been through the dryer, but it's worth a try! Good luck!

It MUST be aerosol hairspray. I think the aerosol has some type of ether in it and that will get out the ink.

Also if any of the clothes are white and can take bleach, try some bleach in an inconspicuous spot (preferable one of those Clorox pens).

There might be special ink-remover products available at a Wal-Mart/Target store in the laundry aisles.

Nail polish remover! DH has left ink pins in his clothes a few times and this has eliminated he in in the dryer. I also used Oxy Clean for the clothes.

This has so happened to me... hairspray worked wonders. Vinegar and baking soda on crayons.

no luck last time it happened to me. ended up trashing everything. ink did come off the inside of the dryer in time, tho.

Dh left an ink pen in his shirt two weeks ago, the only things that got "inked" were his uniform shirt and my favorite pair of work pants! He soaked it in water and put era on it. It got most of the ink off my pants but not his shirt. I'm going to try the hairspray.
