All,
My wife and I just bought into DVC, and we are scheduling a trip to WDW over Labor Day Weekend. Our home resort is Bay Lake Tower, but there is no one room consist availability for that weekend at BLT....so we are staying in at AKV - Jambo House Savanna View.

We will be down there (without kids), checking in on Friday and leaving on Monday morning. I already have my bags checked for Disney Magical Express.

With this being our first trip to a DVC resort (really wish it could have been to BLT), what are some things that 2 Adults should look at doing.

The CM at Member Services gave me the following
  • Dinner at Narcoosse's timing it so are finishing up at beginning of fireworks
  • Early morning or late night safari ride at Animal Kingdom park
  • Dinner with imagineer or artist
  • Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour

Our only goal for the weekend is to relax without the kids and enjoy our new home.

Thanks for your ideas!

Unless you are staying in Concierge at AKV, you will NOT be able to do the morning safari....That's for Concierge guests only. The afternoon one, however, is open to anyone, but the cost is greater if you are not staying concierge. On the other hand....the afternoon one (Wanyama) includes dinner at Jiko, and we loved it!!! For just the two of you, I 'd say that is the best idea if you are staying at AKV.

My husband and I did are first WDW without kids this past January at AKV.

Some of our highlights were: Just having breakfast on the patio watching the animals. (As a DVC member you can get one free movie rental per night.) We had a romantic evening in watching the "Pirates of the Caribbean". AKV also has some great fire pits out side that you can sit around and relax.

Don't get me wrong we love the parks but time without the kids is hard to come by.:rotfl:
