Hi Everyone!

Any advice you could offer would be wonderful! On April 23 I am surprising my husband with a vow renewal ceremony off property. We have 6 children, so I want it to be a very child friendly day. They range in age from 3-13. Our itinerary so far includes:

9:30 BBB hair appointments for the 2 girls. I figured that DH could look around with the boys or go grab a bite to eat.

11:00 am I am considering a limosine? (any suggestions?) or should I save the money and spend it on something Disney?! We need to leave DTD to get to Chapel between 11-11:15.

11:30-11:45 We need to arrive at Chapel.

12:00 Vow Renewal Ceremony

12:45 VR and pictures should be complete. If we have limo, we would probably only have it until 2:00pm. What should we do for the afternoon? My girls and my self will be in gowns. Should we go back to DTD for awhile? Maybe afternoon tea @ Grand Floridian? Appetizers and drinks somewhere??

4:30 Dinner at 1900 Park Faire

Open evening......

I was originally planning thing for later in the day, but couldn't get everything to line up, so now I have a gap in time that I am not sure what to do with.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

I'm getting married at Shades of Green at Disney. That may not be a opion for you. If you or your DH aren't military. Another suggestion is www.orlandoweddings.com. Rev Tim can arrange lots of places for vow renewals. My parents did this at Leu Gardens in 2005. Then they had a reception at Grand Floridian Cafe. Took pics at the GF in their wedding attire. You might come over to the Disney Wedding and Honeymoon board. Everyone is very helpful there. Congrats and happy planning.

So exciting!
Will you have a car to use if you don't get the limo? If it were me, I would skip the limo since most of the time you are paying for it won't be in use anyway. I would use the money on something else. Not sure how much it would save you but you could do something like rent a boat to watch fireworks. Something special that you wouldn't normaly have the money for and would make the memories even more special!

Congrats!!!!!! We did our 15th wedding anniversary at home with a tent this past August and it was a blast!!!! We had a ceremony at the church then the reception at our home------we would've LOVED to do it at disney----but that is not a place to be at the end of August!!!!! I see we have very similarly aged kiddos too--we,however, stopped at 5!!!. I'm sure whatever you decide to do it will be beautiful and special!!!!

Thanks everyone!!! I think we may just drive back to DTD for awhile and then go explore the GF before our reservation time and take pictures.:goodvibes

Shelly5-I'll say they are close in age! We have 4 boys though and 2 girls.

Have a great weekend!

Good for you! We are celebrating our 15 years in September. I wanted to renew our vows this July when we are at WDW. Too pricey for me.....:sad2: Oh well.

Enjoy your day, whatever you do! It will definitely be special

disneyfanfamily-I couldn't afford onsite, but I found a cute chapel offsite. It is going to cost $300 + tax.

They had many packages to choose from.

Mom of dbsdc:

Do you have a link or info on the chapel? Onsite would be WAY over our budget for a vow renewal...

(Preplanning for 25th in 2 years)

TIA

Also, you can just put vow renewal in Orlando into your search engine. There were 4-5 places or services that I found that were close to the Orlando area.

Thanks again for everyones help! Anymore suggestions, please let me know!!!!

Thanks for the link. You will have to post a trip report and let us know how it goes. :thumbsup2

Update:

I decided against the limo and decided to go with a Wishes Cruise that evening! After dinner , I figure we can go back to the condo and change , rest a bit and go back to the GF for our cruise. The cruise leaves at 9:30 pm that evening.

As far as the break in the afternoon, I thought that we would go to DTD for a bit, have snack, look around then head off the the GF for pictures and dinner .

Does this sound too busy?

Thanks again!
Kim
