my hubby and I purchase BCV in February and are trying to make our plans for our first trip home in the fall. ( we have been several times with my parents who own at OKW) we were originally thinking about the middle of October, but due to work constraints on my part, it doesn't look possible. Then I was thinking... what about Nov. Can anyone tell me about crowds, weather, availability at either BCV or OKW?? Any imput that you have would be great. We are so excited to book our first trip home on our own points!!!:bounce: To those of you who have been can you tell me about the food and wine festival and possibly how it impacted the crowds and such?
thanks so much...heading back to work now.....dreaming of WDW!:p

We were at WDW the first week of Nov. 2001. Jersey week did seem to make the parks a little more crowded than we expected, especially being just after 9/11. However, the longest we waited to ride anything was 25 minutes for BTMRR and TT. Most of the lines were about 10 minutes and we took advantage of FP quite a bit. We walked on almost every ride at MGM. I don't remember having to wait in line a single time there. The only wait we had at AK was for the Safari. Everything else we walked right on. Most of the shows were about 3/4 full.

The Wine and Food Festival was wonderful. We went to EPCOT and made this our evening meal on a Tuesday. The food was great and it made for a inexpensive and tasty dinner. EPCOT was not that crowded. I'm bummed we will be missing the Wine and Food Festival this year as we are going in September and I'm hoping for low crowds Sept. 20-27.

We went the week of Thanksgiving a few years ago. The worst day was Thanksgiving in Magic Kingdom. It was so crowded you could hardly walk or do rides. But we didn't have any problems any other days that week. The nicest thing was seeing the Christmas tree lighting Thanksgiving night. It was beautiful. I really liked the cooler weather that time of the year. :)

November is my favorite month to go in. The weather is nice, alot less rain than most times of year. (It can get a little chilly as you get towards the end of the month).

Crowds are usually thin, except for Thanksgiving day and a couple of days afterwards. Otherwise its great!

We have visited the first week of Nov. twice and enjoyed the weather and low crowds most days except Fri. night at Epcot during Food and Wine festival and Sat. night at MK for parades and Fireworks. We are going again this year same time.

I was there last year from Nov. 13th to the 21st and it was wonderful. I caught the end of the Food and Wine Festival and that was great. The weather was the kind I love. Not to hot for slacks but it did cool off in the evenings. A couple of nights I wore a sweat shirt. The crowds were very thin. There were only a couple of ride's where there was any wait time. And Spectro Magic was on one of the nights that I was there. Also, if your there the last part of the month then you'll get to see the Christmas decorations. Last year all the resorts were decorated by the 20th. So the evenings that you visit a park that closes early you could go and visit a couple of resorts. Especially the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Wilderness Lodge, The Grand Floridian and my personal favorite, The Boardwalk. Have a great time.
