OK, so we've been home almost two weeks. Went back to work to get back into the routine. DS started school last week. And all I want to do is go back to Disney again! I've been looking at the photos and listening to the music. Just can't get it out of my mind! Any advise??? How do you deal with all of the excitement gone? We traveled with a party of 10 and had a blast!

Never goes away...

After our first trip in June of 1977....couldn't get enough and went back that October.....

It gets under your skin... We've been blessed to have done 49 trips and headed back this October for number 50...

Only way to beat the blues is another trip... and they just keep getting better and better.!

I'm still is Post Disney Depression. We were there for our first family trip in February. I eat, sleep, breathe Disney. Just counting down the days until we can go next. Hopefully next year for us

I believe that the standard Disboards remedy for this malady is to start planning your next trip.:earboy2:

If I had my way, I would be planning for next year. DW isn't to keen about going every year. So if I can't get something in the fire for next year, it may have to be the year after. That's just wrong! To many days to wait! :(

It's tough when one or the other is not a fan kf WDW... The wife and I have been big fans ever since that first trip...

Daughter even did the CP, and came back to OSU, graduated and moved to Kissimmee and worked for the mouse in Celebration....

Disney runs in our blood....

I come down with the Disney Depression after every trip. I try to fight it by stalking...er...I mean reading the dis boards and helping friends plan their trips. It dulls it a little, but it seems to always be there. I've taken to decorating our home in Mickey so that we are surrounded in Disney every day. I also start planning our next trip even though I never know when we will be seeing the Big Cheese again.

I'm getting depressed just thinking about the end of our trip that's not even til Jam 2014. I'm cuckoo like that, gah! ;)

Hanging out here will help the post Disney blues it can also lead to planning the next WDW trip. Once the Disney bug bits there is no cure.:cool1:

Guess you're right. Not much of a cure. I put together all of our photos in a slide show with Disney theme music. We watched them with our traveling neighbors. What a joy to see all the smiling faces on everyone that was traveling with us. It just brought back all of the magic. Don't know when we'll return. It's not looking good in the crystal ball for next year. Maybe the year after when all the kids graduate middle school. That's a pretty long time to plan for.

Aww, the post-Disney blues are the worst. We don't live too far--only 3 hours away--but the drive home is always depressing. And the week we're back--forget it. I go nuts thinking "one week ago today we were arriving!" or "this time last week I was at Magic Kingdom".

The whole "start planning your next vacation" thing doesn't work for me because, well, we're both graduate students and can't plan that far ahead with exams/class schedules/etc. Not to mention the money involved in going! Our trips are planned a few months out. So the only thing that usually helps, sadly, is staying the heck away from DISBoards

Wow, and I thought I was the only one going nuts doing the same thing! :sad1:

I found that planning can still be done, just in a different way. Rather than planning on a calendar basis, try planning more loosely. List what you want to do, things you want to take, meals you want to try, etc. As you read the posts or planning guides, or whatever else you find, take notes on the ideas you get. Then when the calendar comes into play, you can rework the details to match up and have your thoughts and wishes at hand to incorporate.

Happy planning!

Glad to know I'm not alone in this!
But I carry it on even longer-"Exactly two months ago we were just arriving . . ."

So is there a name for that last week before you go on vacation? Where you turn to random strangers and announce with great relish and wild eyes that it will be only six days... did you hear me? SIX DAYS before your next Disney vacation, and they hurriedly shuffle along trying not to make eye contact?

Same here! Just last night, my friend said to me, "So how long has it been since we were in Disney?" :hourglass

We even do this a whole year later....look kids a year ago today we were at the Magic Kingdom....and right about now we were waiting in line for the Disney Fairies...

Time is only measured by how long ago your trip was to WDW or how many days until your next one :rotfl2:

I agree with this too. Its been a year and a half since our last trip and the real travel plans have just begun as we are going back in May YAY!!:cheer2: However, to feed my addiction over the last year or so, I've been visiting the Boards to gather as much information that I can and stay current. So now I know what I want, when I want it and where to find it!:yay:

Since our latest trip (Back home on 9/6), so much of my thoughts are consumed with day dreaming about being back in Disney World. Everything there is just magical, beautiful and I love the family time. When we are back home it's school for the kids, work for DH & I, sports, etc etc. I started compiling an email list of all the "new" things I would like to experience there and even though our next trip is not in the planning stages nor has a date been decided, I think it's fun to write the list and keep adding to it.

Plus-- being on here helps a lot!!! :goodvibes

I have the same problem...returned home exactly a week ago. Went though so many "should have's "..that it was making me forgot all the great things that happened! I now am trying to focus more time on the Budget Board..finding ways to save money and pay off some bills. I find that I need something to plan! So that is my new project! Plus it helps get me ready for my 3/2015 trip!!
