Maeve Binchy is good, another vote for her.

Barbara Delinksy is good...the last one I read by her was Lake News and it was excellent

Belva Plain is good as well.

My latest favorite is: Anita Shreve

and my favorite by her is The Last Time THey Met....I made my DM and DSIL both read it. You have to read it knowing nothing about it and then the ending just floors you!!!

Another J.D. Robb aka Nora Roberts fan here!!! The books are sooo good I hate to put them down.

I also like the regular Nora Roberts titles. I just finished "Dance Upon the Air" in one day!!! I could not put that book down. Its from the Three Sisters Island series.

I have to agree with poohbear1029. Anita Shreve is excellent. I have read most of her books, and I am currently reading Sea Glass . I can barely put it down!

My favorite of all time is Tim Sandlin - he hasn't put a book out in a very long time, but his books are incredibly funnny, in a wacky way.
