HELP...I need pixie dust PLEASE!!!

Help we leave on Thursday and DD just came down w/croup. We saw the doc this morning and she thinks that in a few days she'll be back to her old self and just gave us a script for some cough medicine. She should be okay, no temp, eating and drinking just fine. Any suggestions on other things I could do before we leave? Another question...if I request a fridge this late for her medicine will they charge me? Or do you think that I could get away with putting the bottle in a ziploc full of ice each day? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

First take a breath! It's sounds more serious than it is.

Most anti's dont need to be refrid. its more of a taste thing. Ask the pharm. Tell them the sit when you check in, I am sure they wont charge for a fridge.

Ask for a fridge, if you are at a mod or a deluxe on property they are free and if not in the room, call housekeeping. Secondly, croup sounds worse than it usually is my DD and my sister and brother both had it. Warm moist air helps, so if you need to run the shower and also sometimes opening the window. I find it is worse the first 2 days and then gets better.

Last year when we went my son was still on the bottle and they gave me a refrigerator for free for medical reasons. Just tell them what happened and maybe they can help you out. We leave in the morning and my kids have had the flu all weekend!!!

My baby is just getting over croup. We went to Epcot on Saturday, and the sunshine seemed to do him some good. At night he's been sleeping with a vaporizer, and that's helped him alot.

My daughter came down with the croup several times when she was younger. What worked for us was running the shower with the bathroom door closed and letting her breathe the steam, and bundling her up in a blanket and bringing her outside to breathe the cool air. I hope your daughter's better soon!
