Help! I need an appetizer that does not contain...

Chickpea.

Who's allergic to meatballs?
Nobody is allergic. DH - who will eat anything you set in front of him; I swear he's eat rubber if I put it on a dinner plate - asked me not to make the meatball sliders. He'll eat them, but he's not fond of meatballs - never was. So he asked me to make something that isn't primarily meatballs. So I won't.

I know it seems silly to find something that doesn't have all that crap in it...and is a slightly daunting task, but I took on the challenge and I'll do it. :)

Ahh. I see. How about stuffed mushrooms? I like them stuffed with Lobster but since seafood is nixed, you could find a nice mild or smokey sausage.

Whatever you choose, be sure you run it by her again first. Since you're trying so hard to please, it would be a real shame to decide on something "safe" like deviled eggs only to arrive and have her say, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, Johnny only eats eggs sunny side up and I only like them poached and Susie only likes them scrambled - none of us like them deviled."

If they end up being safe - deviled eggs is my suggestion. Or chex mix if it's a grazing-type appetizer (with peanuts only, no mixed nuts).

spinach, apricots, peaches, pineapples, nut nuts (peanuts okay), sour cream, cream cheese or meatballs (chopped up meatballs okay, primarily meatball no good.)

No fresh fruit. Also nothing Asian. Or too spicy.

No beer. No liquor that has any of the forbidden ingredients in it.

eta: No seafood, please.

:faint:

Help me. I'm sinking.

How about making them all some ice cubes. :rotfl:

Bacon wrapped dates are pretty easy and tasty.

One of our favorite appetizers that gets completely consumed in minutes is the little smokies wrapped in bacon and covered with brown sugar.

They are simple to make and delicious.

Wrap little smokies in bacon, securing with a tooth pick. Place in a casserole dish.

Cover with brown sugar.

Bake at 350 for an hour.

Let cool slightly.

Place on serving tray.

Another vote for this one. You can cut hot dogs in thirds if smokies are too expensive...

ETA: A fruit plate is nice, too. Shrimp and cocktail sauce?

Edited again -- just noticed no fruit. Sheesh. Veggie Tray?

Says his screen name will be "Mickey Killer." (He - gasp - doesn't like Mickey.) So if you see a Mickey Killer, feel free to ignore him. It's really easy, trust me. :)

The last time the kids and I were in Disney, at all the gift stores you see mouse parts everywhere -- gloves/hands, torsos, shoes. Now we know what happened! :rotfl:
