So because of the DL snowball effect (see my other thread) we are doing a one day trip plus the TOT party!

It will be a Wed. so no Magical Morning. Park opens at 9 AM. We wont be doing our usual afternoon break at the hotel so..... how do I plan this day to take advantage of everything we want to do, and give our feet a break in the afternoon as well.

My kids are 12 and 9 so Fantasyland isn't that important. Multiple rides on HM, Space, Big Thunder, and Splash are a must. Also would like to ride Indiana, Buzz, Pirates, Pooh, maybe the Tiki room in the afternoon, Nemo, Matterhorn, and Small World. Then if time we could try Snow White, Pinocchio, etc.

I know we need to take full advantage of fast passes but which do we pick up first, then second etc.

Should we do a ride around the park on the train in the afternoon along with Tiki room to rest and relax ourselves?

We will eat in the park so we don't waste time leaving and re-entering.

Also need to see the Halloween fireworks! And possibly the Celebrate parade since we haven't seen it.

Is this even possible??? We don't normally do 1 day passes but this is a total quick Disney fix for us.

thanks for any advice!
Kelly

It is definitely possible, depending on how quickly you guys can get around.

Some tips for a 1 day visit:
-FP order: Space -> Indy -> Splash -> Haunted Mansion Holiday -> Any one of the 4 again if possible -> Big Thunder -> Buzz

-Save Pirates, Tiki Room, Pooh, Buzz, Snow White, Pinocchio, It's A Small World, and possibly Big Thunder for the afternoon.

Start with a morning plan, grab a bunch of FP, and be flexible for the afternoon.

I'd probably start out by grabbing a Space FP and making a beeline for Nemo (if that is a priority). Then after that Matterhorn and grab an Indy FP. Then go from there.

If you have time, a train ride can be a nice break from the action when you get the "mid-afternoon tiredness".

Multiple rides on 2/4 rides should be easy at night. Big Thunder and Splash's lines become really short towards closing. HMH maybe. Space's line will not get much shorter, so definitely use FP on this one a lot, especially because the Ghost Galaxy thing will be attracting more people.

Thank you kkmcan for asking this question and THANK YOU to DLR29 for answering this question!!!

I'll be there next week and was wondering what my "game plan" should be.

Any advice for DCA?

This was exactly what I was thinking so I must be on the right track! Definitely Space fast passes first, then Indy, then Splash, we will ride HMH and Big THunder while we wait to use our fastpasses.

If we get to Nemo great, if we don't thats ok too. We've done it 4 times now. Thanks for the great advice!

The only different opinion i might offer is to move HMH up ahead of Splash.

When i visited last Oct. HMH was "swamped" all day (after 10am) & i think ran out of FPs at some point.

Also, it was weird, but all afternoon & early evening BTMRR would have a one hour standby line & a one hour FP return time...it was crazy (that people would stand in line for an hour).....we used it to our advantage big time (about 4 different times).

& (given your comment above) I would DEFINITELY push Nemo back to either during a parade or late at night & concentrate on your other preferred rides.

Have fun. :thumbsup2
