Help... I am worried I did the wrong thing...

We have the last week of May for vacation this year and I decided to try Priceline to get our room. I bid $55/nite for a 3 or 4 star hotel and got Hyatt Orlando but then I noticed that I chose the wrong month when I bid. I chose April instead of May..I live in Savannah so it may not be such a bad date problem, atleast I can go for the weekend but now I am afraid that I have a bad hotel. Should I have stayed with 4 star or better?

Your hotel is fine and is in a great location. Easy to get to the parks and easy return.

Don't worry! Your hotel has a good reputation. Do a search on "Hyatt" on this site and I think you'll be pleased with the reviews that you see. Your location will be great!

I think you over paid for a 3 star. The 4 stars in the WDW are are going for 45 or a little less quite regularly. It pays to ceck around and ask for a good starting bid. I think you will like the Hyatt though and 55 is less than their advertised price.

You may have been able to save more by doing some research 1st BUT,even with this higher bid you still saved a ton of money. I researched the last weeks dates for you and rates at the Hyatt in Orlando were ranging from 129.00 thru 389.00 per day!!!!! (Depending on the location) So it looks like you got a good deal. Next time stop by TravelSheryl's board. It explains what to and how to research before bidding.
