Help. I am a newbie. Need suggestion.

We are new members since November 2002. I have a trip planned in June for our family. However, I decided on a last minute (4) day trip with my lovely wife in late January. Now the problem, I have enough points for (3) days at OKW. What is the most economical way to stay a fourth night? I am learning alot from this forum, and thank everyone in advance.

keep your eye on the board. You should be able to buy points and get them transfered to you. No sense moving hotels. Good luck

Now. At $10.00 per point, stay with me because this makes more since to you than me, it will cost $240.00. The resort is willing to rent me the same room for $191.00. Is there a cheaper way? Thank you.

I assume you are looking at the end of Jan, first of Feb and looking at a long weekend. If that's the case, points for Fri and Sat night will not be the most economical. Is the $191 after taxes, if so, it's not worth the points cost in your situation. Otherwise you could pay cash. Another option is to take the opportunity to check out one of the other resorts like WL for maybe $119 per night or so. You could also rent points that are about to expire and have the other member just make the reservation in your name. It's unlikely you'd be able to get transferable points in your account and make the reservations in time. Good luck.
