Okay, it's getting down to the wire!!!!

We will be at the first MVMCP on Nov 30. So far we will probably get to the park around 5:30ish, head to tomorrowland for photos and eat dinner at cosmic rays (tip from noodles). What shoudl we do from here??? We aren't really going to ride, but concentrate on the shows etc. Probably wont' stay too late. If we stay for teh second parade, we might leave right after. I am thinking about the first parade.

How crowded is the actual walking around from one place to another? Is it wall to wall people? where do you get hot chocolate? Does it just snow once on Main Street and if you miss it, you miss it?
I know our family. They will be looking at us like, "Now what?"

I was thinking that since we are in TL, should we stay for the show there, or will we miss something in the interim? Help!

but have gleaned info from these boards. I don't think you'll miss the snow on Main Street. Hot chocolate is served in various places. I'm told the serving goes quickly and that sometimes people get their hot chocolate and hang around drinking it which makes it look like there is a longer line than there is.

I had a friend who did Disney over the holidays last year (busiest time) with her six children and her brother's family (2 children). That was 12 people. She said it would have been better for them to have split up (they DID want to ride rides and had a vast age range of kids from age 3 to 15). They didn't split up.

I your case, you should be fine, but obviously you won't move as quickly as a smaller group. A lot depends on the ages of the children, too.

I'm not a lot of help, but I bumped you up!!

Hi Susy-

I didn't find it to be wall-to-wall people when I was at MVMCP. There is a cap on ticket sales which keeps the crowd to 20,000 (sounds like a lot, but in reality it's pretty low). We were able to move freely everywhere except in front of the castle (I think that's the case unless it's really early in the morning!). We did a few shows, but really enjoyed the rides. My hubby doesn't like hot chocolate (nuts I tell ya!), but I got some at the counter place between Tomorrowland and Main Street (I can't remember the name, but if you're coming down Main St looking at the castle, turn left and walk straight till you crash into the wall!). The hot chocolate was HOT! Be careful if you're giving it to children! We're taking our daughter this time and I won't be getting her any - it blistered my mouth! Anywho...

As far as keeping 7 people together, unless it's you, DH and 5 small children, I wouldn't even try. Let everyone do what they want with agreed upon meeting places. I think that the snow on Main Street was continuous, at least it was snowing everytime I walked down Main Street!

Have a wonderful time!!! We're right behind you!

Erin :D

It was sold out that night. It's very managable....just go slower so you stay together. It gets busy around the parade route and Fantasyland. Pick a meeting place if you get seperated and take advantage of Fastpass tickets. If you have Ps for dinner at Ltt or Cp before the party there's literally no one around and a great time to get pictures in front of the castle. Have fun!

We did MVMCP in 2000. Great fun! We had 9 people, mixed ages. We met up for the photo op, and that was it for the night as a group. Some of the older members of our party left early. We stayed til closing, something I've never done before! Usually I poop out. Our kids were 8 and 6. We lasted through the second parade and everything! The caution about the hot chocolate is legit, very hot brew! Just add some cold water to help that situation.

Thanks for the replies. Since it is DS's b-day , we will probably stay together. It's just DH, DS, myself and 4 grandparents.

We probably won't ride because we will have gone to EE that morning and we have all been to WDW millions of times.
