Ok I am trying to do some planning and since this is our 1st time to the world I was hoping some of you could be some help on how to get to and from the following places and what kinda time we should be looking at to get from these places as I dont want to be too late for our reservations for eating or other activities... I hope this is on the right thread... wasnt sure where to put it...

We are staying at the Beach Club Resort

1st day we have a 8:05 ressie at Askerhaus for breakfast - can we enter through the gates near Beach Club that early or will we need to get to the front gate???

Dinner ressies at Narcoosies for 6:30 (we are planning on spending that day at MK BUT thinking we may not make it all day) should we plan a late arrival to MK that day?? and just go to Narcoosies from there or??? Suggestions...

Beach Club to Wilderness Lodge for Artist Point Dinner Ressie?

Any other hints... I am trying to get all my i's dotted and t's crossed so we are wondering around lost and dont get to enjoy the magic...

Yup, you can easily get into Epcot from the International Gateway entrance for your ressie at Akershus. It's not even a very long walk - only about 5-10 minutes.

You will find this proximity to Epcot the BEST thing about staying at Beach Club.

If you're still at MK at about 5pm, start making your way to the front of the park. Leave the park no later than 6pm, bear right out of the gates, and take the Resorts monorail line around to Grand Floridian.

I believe there is also a resort launch (boat) from MK directly to Grand FLoridian that will shave off some travel time, because the monorail makes multiple stops between MK and GF, while the launch is direct.

Bus from BC to MK, then catch the resort launch from MK to WL. Total travel time, including waiting for the bus and boat, loading the bus and boat, and actual travel time on the bus and boat, can be as much as 75 minutes, so give yourself plenty of leeway.

Allow plenty of travel time when taking WDW transportation, especially when going from one resort to another; Disney transprotation doesn't typically run from one resort to another, so you almost always have to transfer at either one of the 4 parks or at Downtown Disney.

If you allow yourself plenty of time, but things move faster than you expected, and you get someplace with 30 or 60 minutes to spare, don't think of it as wasted time - think of it as a great opportunity to explore another WDW resort. Look around the lobby, the gift shops, the food courts, the grounds, and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere while you wait for your ADR to come up.

And don't forget that you can check in at the podium early at any restaurant. I usually check in 10-15 minutes before my scheduled ADR. Sometimes that gets me seated faster, sometimes not - depends on how busy the restaurant is.

And most importantly - something will go wrong. Something always goes wrong. Busses are late, monorails break down, rain washes away entire states, asteroids fall from the sky. But whatever it is, DO NOT PANIC! You're on vacation! Anything that goes wrong can be taken in stride if you stay calm and relaxed, and flexible.

Have a good time.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Ditto on leaving plenty of time when using
Disney Transportation. It's great but it's not FAST. Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

The fastest and easiest way to get from resort to resort is to drive, or a taxi if you don't have a car. Getting from the BC to Artist Point could take up to 90 minutes with Disney transportation, or about 10-15 minutes by car. Epcot is a short walk from the BC. The boat launch is the fastest way to get to the GF from the MK.

Maxie is right. It took us 90 minutes to get from OKW to the Contemporary by
Disney Transportation and when we had a rental car it took literally 5 minutes.
It's LUDICROUS.:sad2:

wow great directions willcad but my vote if you dont have your own car and if yu can all fit in one cab would be to spend the 12.00 to 16.00 and take a taxi for the Artist Point dinner. The valet service at BC will gladly get one for you.

We also have tried wdw transportation to get from one resort to another and its an exercise in fustration.

Or actually since yu are at BC you could just walk thru EPCOT out the front gate and take the bus straight to Wildernes lodge.
