Help!!! How do I decide???

DW and i just joined in July. We had talked about it for years. DW was always resistant. On our last trip we finally took the tour. The AKV rooms sold her on the idea!

In terms of numbers, we have been going twice a year for about 5 years. I figured that if I keep that up, I will spend way more than my membership and dues wil cost me.

Being able to stay in the best accomodations, prepaying our trips, and essentially freesing the cost of WDW accomodations for the next 50 years made the difference. Of course I know the dues will increase, but likely not as quickly as resort rates. We stay in moderates with cash, but now can stay DVC on points. We consider that quite an upgrade. And we know that if necessary, we can leave DVC to our daughters.

As for the lack of mousekeeping. I hate housekeeping when I am staying at a hotel. Again, the privacy thing. I like things to be where I left them and to tidy up myself.

I couldn't agree more I hate the idea of people being in my room, thought it was just me

We like the thought of vacationing with our children without having to share one room and/or one bathroom. With DVC we have a kitchen available for snacks, a washer and dryer for last minute laundry (rather than hanging out at the laundromat) and extra bed/sofas for friends and family.

And it guarantees that I get to go to WDW at least every other year!!
