What an awlful decision!
We are making a girls' trip - DD 12, friends 13, 13, 14, and me - 5 of us. Two of the girls have never experienced the magic of WDW so I feel responsible to make sure it is truly magic. We are driving from SC for a long weekend in August. We'll arrive Thursday night, stay offsite, then spend Friday and Saturday night onsite. We'll leave Sunday night and stopover someplace on the way home. With this short a period I know we will not be spending time relaxing at the resort. I can get the CR at $170/night or Poly for $238. The $138 difference will go a long way if you consider that we will not be at the resort for long.
But the CR leaves me feeling neutral and the Poly has always been on the list of things-to-do. Which to choose. CR fans - tell me why you think it's special.
I should also mention that we stayed at BC over Spring Break so I do not want to go to an EPCOT resort. Plus, we obviously need a room for 5.
