Please help me come up with a gift idea for my 15 yo step sister. She isn't a girly-girl type girl, so I'm at a loss of what to get her. Also, she has lots of allergies so I can't get her bath and body works stuff, which is what I got her sisters. Any ideas? Only things I can come up wtih are funky slippers or a tshirt, but I don't know what she'd like. I don't see them often, maybe once a year, if that, so I don't know all of her likes/dislikes.

Go to the Movie theater and ask to buy a tub that they put popcorn in, buy some movie passes (however many you want). Go to Target and buy those big boxes of candy. Pop some butterless popcorn, put it in the tub with passes and candy and put all down into a Christmas gift bag. One of my friends gave this to another friend and it was a big hit.

I have a 15 yo dd. She always gives me a very specific list of cd's that she'd like to pass out to relatives who ask.

She also loves gift cards from the mall (she likes Hollister), or from the book store. I'm sad to tell you that the child's favorite gift is money. :teeth: She LOVES to go to the mall with her own money and gets as much stuff as she can for it.

She loves pajama pants and those big heavy socks. My niece got her one of those electronic 20 question games that will guess whatever you're thinking of in 20 questions. That thing is amazing and the kid has been messing around with it for an entire week.

Maybe passes to a local movie theatre? Our local theatre has gift certificates that can be used for tickets or concessions.

gift cards (so they can pick what THEY like) or movie passes (which would come in handy during the winter break )

My SIL, a bit older then your SS, likes hat/mitten sets. (yeah - shock - a teen that likes to wear hats! heheh)

does she already have an iPod or other mp3 player? what about an iTunes card?

My sister will be 15 on Christmas Eve. We bought her an iPod as a combo Christmas and birthday gift. My best friend (her Godmother) bought her an iTunes card that will also serve as a combo gift because of the amount it is charged. My parents are going to buy her skins for the iPod and an arm band to hold it and other accessories for it.

Edited to add: My kids got her a DVD/CD case to organizer her games, CDs and DVDs, a microfiber towel to sop the wetness out of her hair after she showers, and a cushie pillow so she can take it on car rides.

My DD15 has asked for money for Christmas this year, and money, and oh yeah, money! She also would like gift cards to American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, Puma, and Discount Dance Supply, (an online store).

Daughter also loves fleece pants for sleeping and hanging around the house in, warm, fuzzy socks, and tank tops for sleeping in. Walmart has ribbed tank tops in a variety of colors and they are very inexpensive, ( HANES $5. each).

Hair accessories are also a good gift. Cloth covered pony-tail holders, barrettes, big hair clips, hair ribbons, etc.

The movie tickets, popcorn, candy idea that another poster mentioned would be a big hit with my daughter, also!

Her sister works at a movie theater, so she has all the free movies and popcorn she could want.

She's really not a hollister or american eagle type of gal, more like hot topic.

I really don't want to get her a gift card because I got her sisters gifts.

As of now, I'm thinking maybe cute sleep pants and slippers?

DD16 is also a Hot Topic kind of girl. Her favorite colors are red and black. She loves sleep outfits and fluffy socks. Sounds like you're leaning in the right direction.

I'm 15 and I LOVE pajamas. I say find her a cute pajama set and maybe slippers.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I hope she likes them.

FYI - if you are in a cold climate...target has the CUTEST flannel PJ's...by Nick and Nora. about $25 regular price

Nope, we are in Florida, her in central florida. I am definately going to go to target to look for pjs for her though. They have such adorable pj's. I saw a set online that is "happy bunny" and says "whatever" on it. That is totally her. Thanks guys! You guys always help. I'll be sure to post what i find for her. And to give her the gift receipt in case she doesn't like it.

I like the sleep/lounging pants and slippers idea. If you have enough left, get a cute t-shirt to wear with the pants.
