Hi guys -- wondering if anyone could give suggestions for each park for the most reasonable meal. We are taking our six foster kids and wondering how to do it without completely putting us into bankruptcy :) I was planning on the Rainforest Cafe for a late lunch on the day we go to the Animal Kingdom. Basically looking for one reasonable (cheaper) meal per day per park plus one nicer meal. We will be going October 8-18. Thanks for any help you can give!

I suggest having breakfast type stuff in the room before going in, such as cereal, muffins, or whatever else you can do there. Then plan a sit down meal for a "late lunch" time, and top the evening off with a snack. We have found we do really well that way. We also buy a case of bottled water to carry as we find we are thirsty much more often than hungry. Another suggestion would be to order an adult meal for kids to share. Most places the portions are such that two adults could share, the exception being France in EPCOT. We also will get between meal snacks and carry those with us for emergencies. You are doing a wonderful thing, have a fantastic trip!

There were 8 of us last summer, including several very picky eaters.

At MK, we ate at the Diamond Horshoe Revue. They serve basic sandwiches, like ham and cheese, but the kids loved the show.

At MGM, we ate lunch at the Backlot Express - typical fast food.

At Epcot, we ate bits and pieces as we visted each country, with everyone sharing. Everyone got to try something new. Most countries have lunch menus that you can eat as you walk. Lunch took us all day!

The best thing you can do before you go is make reservations for dinner. A lot of places have tables for 6 or less and they have to make special arrangements. In some cases, they may have to seat you at two different tables. For three dinners, it took me over an hour with WDW-DINE to make suitable reservations. They were very helpful and patient.

One other thing I did, each child had my cell phone number in their shoe so they could have a cast member contact us if we got separated. Fortunately, no one needed it.

Have a great trip!
