Hi!
This will be my very first trip to Disney- I'm probably more excited than the kids! My husband and I are taking our 2 girls (18 months and 4 years) along with our cousin, her husband and 2 boys (4 and 6 years). HELP! Please help me plan this trip. I'm looking for deals. I'd live to be able to all stay together in one room/villa but it appears too pricey. We are planning first week in April (unless they can't go then Jan/Feb). I imagine magic kingdom will be the biggest attraction- between Minnie and the princesses!
Please help, thank you!!

youve come to the right place.....welcome

too many things to start with. Start researching and planning NOW!!!!!

ADR's(advanced dining reservations) are already open for scheduling(180 days from your planned stay). If you are ok with QS(counter service/quick service) then no need to worry but sitdown meals need to be scheduled.

Everything essentially hinges on your date of stay. FYI there are discounts coming out next wed for public for Jan/feb/march. deals wont last long. and resorts do fill so do diligence is needed on your part.

Get studying !!!! ask questions here and you will get answers here. I learn more everyday and ive been here for couple yrs.....

BTW cheapest way to start with that many people is 2 rooms at a value resort. Young kinds love em and food courts are pretty good at them(QS).....most rooms at disney are set up for 4 people and 1 under 2yrs old i think. some deluxes allow 5.

Where do I look for info? Thx!

A few things I would recommend for your first trip would be
1. Consider spending the extra money for a resort with access to the monorail system. Yes, they are more pricey but the convenience is worth every penny. I stayed at Animal Kingdom Villas after staying at the Polynesian for the past 3 trips and realized how great it really is. No waiting for a bus or driving for half of the 4 parks. All the resorts are very nice the ones of the monorail are just most convenient.

2. A Disney dining plan is something I would definitely look into, it takes a lot of stress out of the experience and the food is great! I recommend the magic your way plus dining. If you do in fact go with a dining plan I would make reservations asap because prime times fill up quick. Also do some research aka look at the menus. There are some places that are great places but the menu items may not be anything you'd want to eat.

3. Park Hopper ticket passes are something to consider. These tickets allow you to "hop" from park to park within the same day whereas with the base tickets you are stuck at one park all day. It is nice to end the day/night at different park if desired.

4. Relax! I planned my first Disney trip on my own with my girlfriend last year and it was super easy.

Sorry this was kind of long but I hope it helped somewhat haha

Set a budget you need to stick to first and foremost. After that hit Disneyworld.com and look under Packages --->Special Offers and see if anything is available for your dates then go from there.

I've been to disney world twice. But we just got back from our first stay on the Walt disney world resort! First thing you should do is look for special offers and deals through the Walt disney world website an through mousesavers.com it's a great site with awesome info!! Second I'd you can afford it get a dining plan. It takes so much stress of you! You don't have to worry about prices and stuff like that and you can easily get your money's worth! 3rd research the park schedules. If your staying on resort go to the parks on the days of their extra magic hours. The parks will be a little but busier but you'll have a longer time to experience the park! 4th advance dining reservations!! Places like chef mickeys and cinderellas royal table fill up real quick so you'll want to make those reservations for special meals quickly!! That's all I got or now if I think of anything else ill post again!

The all star movies or Art of Animation Little mermaid are about 20 minute +/- bus ride. Both themed Disney and are nice for the little ones. You need to make Advanced Dining Reservations NOW...180 days out. Chef Mickey's is a MUST; Winnie the Pooh and Friends are at Cyrstal Palace; Princess Meal is at Arkerhaus in Epcot. 3:00 parade...Those are our Favorites. Pick a day to take a nap to have the kids in good shape for a night at Magic Kingdom, Nighttime Parade-line up 1 hour prior- and Fireworks-Wishes Both Must Sees. Hollywood Studios would be my other pick of parks for that age range. The 3:00 parade, Disney Junior and the Toy Story Ride. Plan things for your daughter and then the boys as well. Double Stroller. Check out when Free Dining is out and maybe you could go then! Get a map of the park and look to see what you want to do. Depending on how many days your there; split the park up, by doing one section at a time, don't go all over the place, running around. Have a plan and stick to it.

Hope this helps!pixiedust:
