I'm sorry I don't know where to ask this dumb ? but I am planning one of my vacation days around watching a Green Bay Packer football game in December(I bleed green and gold)at ESPN, so I need to know what time the 1st games start on Fox down in Florida so I can plan accordingly.
Thanks for helping me with my stupid ? :)

they start 1pm EST time. get there by 12:30pm to ensure you are seated before it starts

HTH

We love the ESPN Club for lunch. I've heard on an NFL gameday the place gets packed! You'll probably want to get there extra early. By the way, my son is a huge Packers fan! :earsboy:

It's too bad they aren't playing the Vikings. I bleed purple and gold. Don't worry...I am not a Packer basher.

Definitely get there early!! DH and I went to watch the Steelers-Bengals play in October, we were undecided if we wanted to watch the game or not, finally a little before 1:00 we decided to head over. We stood in line (in the hot, blazing sun) from 1:00 until 3:45!!!:earseek: We were finally seated during the 4th quarter.

On the other hand, we ate at the ESPN Club in December on a Sunday afternoon with 5 people in our party and no preference on a game (the Steelers were playing at 4:00 that day and we would be at the MVMCP). We got to the restaurant a little after noon and we were seated immediately.

Good luck in getting a table, believe me I know how important it is!! :)

Getting there by 12:30 for a 1pm game will be way to late. On game day, people start lining up at the door around 8am..so they can get a seat.

There are a ton of packer fans in FL, and a lot of packer fans that visit.

Another great spot to watch the game..if they are showing it is at the World of Sports, all star cafe. The food is wonderful and the tvs are huge, so definately a great option.

Go Packers!!!!
(yes, hubby and I also bleed green and gold..lol...born and raised in La Crosse)

You definitely have to get there at least at opening at 11:00. It is mobbed on Sundays during the NFL season. The only way to counter-act the line would be to go over to the bar area. Still non smoking and with a full menu but a bar atmosphere.

Um, and by looking at nfl.com and the schedule, not sure when you will be there. 12/4 is at 1:00 PM, 12/11 is at 8:30 PM and 12/19 is the Monday night game.

webray & disnut8 are so correct! get there early and get a table - there is a Packer Fan Club in Orlando and they flood ESPN for games - if you can't get in try the bar in YC - they always have the games on too - its not ESPN but it gets pretty rowdy and is fun too - they also serve food - have fun and can you guys go easy on our Atlanta Falcons Nov 13? :rotfl: Please :flower:

so they have satellite and can show any game?? We want to watch the Eagles on 10/2 and planned on ESPN - if it is crowded, should I try YC or do they only show one game??

Yes, ALL the games are on every Sunday. Some are on smaller TVs and some are on larger TVs, but you won't miss the Eagles.

yes, at ESPN they have all the games but not at YC - however, the bartenders and and will switch channels depending on who is in there and what are the better games - I even had them switch one time to see college baseball because our UGA Bulldawgs were playing!

Thanks!!!!!! Everyone for the great responses,I knew I could count on NFL fans especially those on the DIS Boards.Does anyone know if they let you book a recliner at ESPN a day ahead of the game, I did that in California and you can book a recliner(they don't have that many) as long as you keep eating and drinking throughout the game, although now that I know there is a Packer fanclub in Orlando I am more worried about getting a seat especially since we are playing the Bears the only rivalry that is bigger is the Vikings.Mamaquack I promise we will be easy on the Falcons if they are easy on us that game could go either way.Can anyone tell me where the World of Sports and can I get there without a car? I am staying at BWI the day of the game so I will also be close to YC so thanks for that suggestion also,I really appreciate everyones help!!!!! :wave2:

Kata,
don't know anything about recliners in ESPN Orlando although I think its a great idea!!!! do just want to mention that the Green Bay Packer Fan Club folks we know of and the Pittsburgh Fan Club gang meet at several spots - its not all at the ESPN club - it will seem like that when you join them but trust me, we have been in several smaller, unpublished locals and they are there too!!! I say - Support Your Teams and Have F-U-N!!!!!!
World of Sports - you mean where they do Braves Spring Training?
The BEARS vs. The Pack - oh Honey, I had no idea. Having lived in Chicago for 7 years I know the drill. Even now, back in my GA roots its either the Falcons or the Pack or the Bears and if it is Bears vs. Pack I just cannot watch :confused3

There is a bus that runs from MGM. I'm not sure how often though. :confused3

We've watched the Packer game for the last 2 years at the ESPN Club. Just get there early. They ask you what team your for and then give you a table in front of that TV. They don't care if you stay and watch the whole game. We just tip good and take our time eating. You wouldn't be a Packer fan if you didn't plan your vacation around "da game, hey". Ours is at 4:00 in November. We've never been there for a 4:00 game, I hope we get a seat. They'll be playing Atlanta though, so if worse comes to worse we can watch it at our resort we think.

We've never seen a REALLY large group of Packer fans, but the New England fans drive you nuts.

I'm taking my neice to the Princess Tea in the morning, then she'll have something special that day, and we've already told her she's going to have to sit throught the Packer game.

"We've never seen a REALLY large group of Packer fans, but the New England fans drive you nuts. "

Wow, why do you single out us Pats fans?!
