So my in-laws have come up with the idea of picking names and "making" Christmas gifts for eachother. I picked my father in law and my husband got his mother.
We probably won't be able to get together for Christmas until January so I have a little time. Can someone PLEASE help me and give us some ideas of what to do???

So you need a "homemade" gift?

How about a photo collage of some sort?
Homemade cookies/fudge
A "book of memories", funny stories, etc.

Does he have a favorite team? Can you do the tie fleece blankets using some quality team fleece?

I’ve learned…That it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

Are there grandchildren? Can you set up a nice set of "autographed" 2x3 photos of the grandchildren for his wallet, or a framed one for his desk at work?

Build a birdhouse or bird feeder.

I guess the answer to this really depends on what you know how to make and what he likes.

YOu could make him some candies or cookies/brownies, or some flavored hot chocolate mixes.

If he likes to garden, maybe you could start some plants for him to replant later? If he likes to grill, you could make some spice rubs or bbq sauces. If you can sew, and he golfs, you could make golf club covers. Maybe you would make him a photo album of old family photos or grandchildren, if that's his thing. Or a mix cd of his favorite polkas... it really comes down to thinking about what he likes to do and what you know how to make.
