CR Garden Wing Std View or BC Standard View? Can't decide! Why is this so hard? Staying 5 nights from Feb 25-Mar 2. We'll be visiting all 4 parks and DS. With DD5, we always spend a good deal of time at MK and we love Ohana and 1900 PF, so the proximity of CR makes the most sense. But the theming of BC appeals a lot more to me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that we'd be able to enjoy SAB this time of year ;( While CR is less, the price difference is minimal. Help!!!

I would go with CR. Being able to walk to MK, is REALLY wonderful. We go that week often since it's my DD7 birthday and it's really a mixed bag, weather wise. I've been in shorts and an tank top, I've also been in a fleece jacket with scarf and gloves. SAB is great in theory but if you have small ones, especially if they're not great swimmers, it can be a bit of a nightmare. It's VERY spread out and the main slide is across the boardwalk, I always feel weird running across in my wet bathing suit.

I have stayed at both. I would stay at CR. The bus from the BC to MK is long. During our BC trips, we always shared buses with YC/BCI/Swan/Dolp. From CR you can monorail to MK and Epcot. You only need the bus to HS and AK. (Hint, take the bus to HS to start your day. Then when you're done, take the boat over to Epcot. The ride is about 30 minutes <I timed it>. If you've got a stroller for DD, she can nap. It's a nice boat ride and a way to take a break. Then enjoy Epcot and monorail back to CR.) You can also walk back to CR from MK. This is a blessing if you want to stay for fireworks.

The food court is much better at CR. BC has the very bare minimum.

CR is a beautiful resort! The rooms are large and nicely decorated.

I can understand your dilemma, since we like the BC better than CR, too. But if you are planning to spend that much time in the MK area, then you might want to pick CR. We have been to WDW twice during the end of February and one time it was rainy and too cold to swim and the other time it was sunny and warm for most of our days. So there is no guarantee about the weather. But the MK bus from the BC is direct and it only shares with YC. It is about a 15 minute from the BC to MK, so it isn't too bad.

I agree with everyone else that I'd go with the CR. We've never stayed at the CR, but if you will be spending most of your time at MK, you can't beat the convenience. In addition, you're just 2 monorail stops from the Poly/3 from GF if you have meals at Ohana and 1900 PF. Good luck.

CR's pool is lame compared to BC, i'd go with BC in a heartbeat.

BC is close to two parks, CR is close to one.

This info is outdated. The BC now only shares buses with the YC. RARELY mid day maybe more. The ride to the MK from the BC is about 12 minutes, depending on traffic.
I would definitely choose BC over CR Garden Wing Standard.

I say CR. Since swimming might not be a high priority during that time of year, and you have fondness for two MK resort restaurants, plus the MK itself I would guess with a 5 year old along, it just makes sense to stay close to the things you'll most likely frequent and enjoy.

This is good information to know. I haven't stayed at the BC in about 10 years and didn't realize that the bus situation to MK had improved. I'll be staying at the BC this October.

Personally, I much prefer BC for the resort, and the proximity to the Boardwalk, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. That being said, with a young child if you're going to spend the most time in MK then CR will be more convenient for you.

I, too, much prefer BC over CR. However, if you are going to be spending more time in the MK area, I would pick CR.
