Ok...this online reservation system will be the death of me....only because when I change my mind, I don't have to call....so easy!!!

Anyways, DH is already complaining about the 45min/hour wait for rope drop on one of our MK days...surprise, surprise. So...I was able to snag a 8:30 breakfast ressie at CP on a 9am opening day. We have a lunch ressie at CP that afternoon that I'll have to cancel if we go this route, but I figure that we wouldn't have to endure the rd wait, and dh's complaining..

The problem is, the kids and I like to get in as many rides as possible after rope drop so if I kept the breakfast ressie, it will cut into precious ride time. We eat at CP every trip so I'm familiar with the set-up but we have never done it before park opens up. We always go for either lunch or supper.

Suggestions?? I'll keep trying for an earlier ressie, but this late in the game, I was lucky to get 8:30....

Me personally, I would keep your breakfast reservation only because we like breakfast at CP much more than the lunch. If you can get an earlier reservation than the one you already have, then go ahead. There is nothing like walking into the park before it opens and walking down a almost dead Main Street and taking great pictures along the way...also the PP photographers are out that early too, so you will get great pics with the whole family :thumbsup2 Good luck.

I was just looking at my ADRs from last trip and we did 8:30 at CP. Sure, the park was already open when we got done but it wasn't crowded and we still were able to do plenty of things. It depends on how badly you really want to be done eating by rope drop. Maybe try to look for an earlier ADR if possible?

I also really like their breakfast far more than their lunch.

I would keep the breakfast ressie...it's nice going into the park before it opens and if you get there before 8:30 there's a good chance they may seat you earlier. And remember when you get out. you're already down mainstreet and can just go for the rides.

I've had both breakfast and lunch at CP and thought they were both great. In fact I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the lunch..(I usually prefer beakfast buffets). The only thing I notice with CP is sometimes it takes longer for all the characters to ge to your table as it's such a big restaurant. I remember one time for breakfast we had finished our meal and still no characters had come to the table! If you want to see all the characters at your table then it may take a bit longer at breakfast and cut into your morning park time.

Though we enjoy the rides and are early people, we're not as gung-ho on getting on a bunch of rides at rope drop so we would enjoy the breakfast without being anxious about missing prime ride time...
