Hello and hoping for some insight. Staying over the holidays, 4 adults (2 parents/2 full grown teens)... looking at Coronado Preferred & Caribbean Beach Standard, the perk there being the skyliner.

Looking for your thoughts in which to pick and why. We'd like nice transportation, quick service, ease of getting 4 people ready in the morning, and fun! Don't really plan to spend much time in the hotel, but maybe a pool day/ at least a dip.

For anyone who responded before, we've ruled out Pop Century, but a room at the Caribbean Beach opened up.

Thoughts?

I would definitely not do Pop. Either Coronado option is better. Coronado Springs is a much more upscale resort, with a much nicer pool area.

I'm going to ask, have you looked at the Swan and Dolphin. Great location, and a great pool area with lots to do. Super easy to get to the parks too.

Gran Destino would be my top choice, followed by CSR preferred. The prices they are charging now for Pop just make it not really worth it IMHO.

We have. But sold out... Been watching for Swan Reserve to open.

We chose POP over Coronado. Coronado is way too big.
Love having the Skyliner at POP.

Coronado hands down IMO....many many places to eat, drink, relax and just hang out. The grounds are beautiful day or night, the rooms are larger and quieter. It really is like comparing apples to oranges in terms of what each offers. Pop is not as full grown teen friendly as Coronado would be.

Have stayed at all of those rooms - Destino Tower. Easy.

For all the reasons mentioned food/drink/calm/etc. Even the busses were't unbearable when I was there last, in August (which was a change).

Skyliner would be nice though. Just not a fan of Pop.

Pop all the way. Not much time at the resort so why pay for it? Coronado doesn't feel Disney to me anyway.

Skyliner may be important, we're not sure if it should be or not?!
Update to the post... removed Pop, but a room at Caribbean Beach opened up.

Coronado would be our pick. Very adult feel to the resort. The location is about as central as you can get and no bus ride is long. The resort is beautiful with plenty of dining/drink options. One of our favorite pools.

I actually just made this decision and went with CBR. I’ve never stayed there, but I’ve visited the grounds. I stayed at CSR at GDT and I really like the resort. But since I couldn’t get a GDT room, I switched from CSR to CBR when a room opened there. The main draw for CBR is that it’s the hub of the Skyliner and you have access to two parks with no transfer required. That is HUGE. It opens up dining at other resorts, plus Riviera is close by.
The rooms honestly look worse for wear, but I’ve heard that the CBR rooms are slightly bigger than other moderates (I can’t find confirmation of this).

Caribbean is about 340, the rest 314. It was always a plus for families adding a crib, stroller etc. (back in the day you got a full sized crib, not pack n plays).

CBR was the first moderate built, although there was no tiers then. Changes were made for future moderates, room size being one ... not so spread out, most buildings have elevators, less bus stops ...

It isn't a Pirate room, is it? Those are less popular as the beds are harder and they are not in a great location.
