Help! Confused about trans. to Port C.

I'm currently helping my kids book their honeymoon. They'll be staying at BCV. They will need transportsation to Port Canaveral and back to MCO. I understand that they cannot utilize the DCL transportaion because they do not have a package. What would be the best and most economical way for them to do this? I thought it would be OK to book land and sea separate, but now its getting very confusing. Any suggestions? It may be cheaper to rent a car. Humm, what do you think?
