HELP! Cinderella castle toy

We thought the price was VERY resonable. Considering most of the 'doll houses' and such in the stroes can run anywhere from $50-150! We saw a very plain 'house' at the store for 79$. My DD5 commented that she still would hope Santa will bring the Castle instead. Little does she know... Santa has prepared and can't wait until Christmas morning.

Wow, my girls would go nuts for this castle! Does anyone know the official "name" or item number to use when calling the WDW Merchandise number, or is their only one Cinderella's Castle?

Thanks!

We purchased it while we were at Disney last December and had it shipped home from the store. DD4 got it Christmas morning and was in tears that we had to leave it to go to Grandma's later - the whole time she cried for her castle and for the next few months we brought it with us to Grandma's house on Sunday afternoons. She loves it still.

Well I think I know what DD will be getting when we go. Grandma is giving her $$ for X-mas and Bday before we go. I'm pretty sure she will have enough. Or I might buy it and put it away for Christmas. I'm not sure.

When you had the castle shipped home from DW, how long did it take to arrive? I have been looking for something "big" for DD2 for Christmas & this sounds great, plus someone said their DS enjoyed it too, so it sounds like DS5 would like it as well.

My Mom just ordered 1 on Thursday so when I receive it, I'll post back and let you know. We are in Illinois so not sure if that would make a difference as far as shipping time, etc....... I'll post back when I receive it. My guess it after this thread, they might be shipping out quite a few.

Fortunately, we had 2 vehicles there last March so we had room for it. We got it without the daughter knowing at Mickey's Toontown and gave it to here for her BD in June. It was the hit of the birthday party. We put it up every so often and then when we get it back out, it's like a new toy.

I think it is more expensive on ebay than it is if you call WDW right now and have it shipped to you. You don't have to be at WDW to get it. Just call the number given earlier in this thread. It is $69 + $15 shipping. Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing now that I have looked at more of them! :) Does anyone happen to know what the shipping to Canada is?

Ours just arrived yesterday so it took about 2 weeks to arrive from the day we ordered it.

My DD wanted this Castle so bad when we were there in September but ,we decided to pay to ship it home was not worth it since we were going into NYC and could pick it up at the World Of Disney store.

We did and we gave it to her for her 4th birthday in October. She loved it and it was the hit of the party. She still plays with it every day.

We are really glad we decided to get it for her. Well worth it. :thumbsup2

Does the box have a recommended age range? Dd is into all the little things right now like polly pocket, the disney princess polly like things, etc.

My daughter is 8 (today!) but would still love this! I didn't know it came with all the figures. I will be alone with the kids Thanksgiving week, and know I won't be able to sneak it while there. I'll probably end up calling after we get back. Does it come in a plain box so she won't know what it is. She got the Dora castle from Walmart last year, and the box it had pictures all over it. Luckily, she wasn't at home when it came and I was able to hide it.

Yes, it was in a brown box when it was delivered yesterday. I have not opened it b/c I don't want DD to see it since it is for X-mas.

We had ours shipped to a friend's house and then DH picked it up one night after DD was in bed. It really is a lot of fun, especially if your kiddos are into playing with Polly Pockets, Barbies, etc.

Hi
Does anyone know if the Disney Stores in local malls or ToysRUs carry the castle? I'd like to see it in person. My DGD would love this. I'm going to DW in Dec. and if I don't see it in the Disney store, I could see it, and then have it shipped home. Thanks!

That toy looks great. I would love to get it for DD for christmas. Does anyone know if its sold on amazon or anywhere online?

I bought this for my DD in 2001 when she was 3. She is 9 now and still plays with it all the time - her friends love it, too. And she hasn't lost any of the pieces, but I do need to replace a couple of the cell batteries - it is a great toy and it looks great, too!

It's only sold at the Disney parks, so you won't find it at Toys R Us or the Disney store or Amazon. There are people who have bought it at the parks and are selling it on ebay or thelaughingplace.com, but at a huge mark-up. My DD also became fascinated with this castle while we were at WDW in June, but we didn't have room to bring it home (and it didn't occur to me to buy it and have them ship it home at the time). You can call WDW merchandising directly at 407-363-6200 and order it for the price it actually is at WDW ($69 I think) plus shipping (I purchased both the castle and a monorail set and it was around $15 shipping for the both of them together).
