This is the first time I have ever booked my own airfare, always went through travel agent in the past. Flying out of Baltimore to MCO on Dec. 6 and departing Dec. 13. What would a good price be? 4 adults and 3 kids. Best to book now, wait??? Do I go through a place like travelocity or deal directly with the airlines??? Help!!!! I have been on many websites. A lot of airline sites don't seem to have schedules that far in advance, but places like travelocity will let you put in the dates. I am so confused!!! Any advice would be greatly appeciated. ::MinnieMo

I use travelocity or expedia to give me an idea of the cost. I then go to the airlines own website to book my tickets.
Southwest flies out of Baltimore, their dates are not open that far, but they are not listed on either travelocity or expedia.
Airtran is listed on both but they do not have their dates open for December yet either.
My advise is to check the prices that are available now, if they are within the price you want to pay book your flights. If the costs are higher than you want then check Airtran periodically as they tend to open thier dates one week at a time each Sunday, and keep an eye on these boards for the dates to open up on Southwest.
I am anxiously awaiting for SW to open up their dates for December too, we fly out of Phila, they seem to have the better fares and once they post the schedule they do not change the flight times as the other carriers will do.
