I've been on many disney cruises but it's been a while. How do I book excursions, etc? I've logged in and I can see my reservation. When I click on "My Cruise Activities" it loads the reservation page again. From what I remember that's where I can add activities. Is it a website glitch or is it me?

You have to wait until after your paid in full date and your time to check in and book excursions depends on the level you are (silver, gold, platinum).
Per the DCL website:

"To ensure you get to enjoy the Port Adventures excursions you want, we recommend you make reservations as soon as your cruise reservations are paid in full and you have entered into your advance booking window.

Your advance booking window is determined by your Castaway Club membership level, as specified below.

  • First-Time Guests: 75 days prior to sail date
  • Silver Castaway Club Members: 90 days prior to sail date
  • Gold Castaway Club Members: 105 days prior to sail date
  • Concierge Guests and Platinum Castaway Club Members: 120 days prior to sail date"

I am about 90 days out but I'm platinum, yes paid in full. Am I clicking the right place? My Cruise Activities reloads the My Cruise Reservation" page.

When you are on the first page, does it look like this:

Or like this:

If the first choice, your booking window hasn't opened yet. If you are paid in full and within 120 days of your cruise (as Platinum), call DCL and tell them your online reservation page isn't giving you the ability to book activities.

If the second one is what you're seeing, when you click on "Book now" following the "Activities: Closes (whatever date)" you should get a screen like this:
01 reservation summary page.jpg

Click on the "View or Add activities" link at the bottom of the My Cruise Activities window. You should get a window that looks like this:
02 my cruise activities page.jpg

There you click on the "No Confirmed Activities" link to open each day's activity window.

If you aren't going there, again call DCL and ask why.

Are you newly Platinum? As in you've completed 10 cruises, and this is your 11th cruise you're booking activities for?

hard to believe but the guy worked with me for 15 minutes and concluded that DCL website isn't compatible with safari (mac computers). We are a 100% apple in this house. bummer. I've been able in the past to use my mac. odd.

Sadly, if you just talked whoever it was that answered the phone, chances are pretty good, he didn't really know and gave you a palatable answer.

I don't know whether the DCL website is compatible with safari or not, but I'd call again and ask for a supervisor, if you get the same story.

I've not heard from anyone one else here that safari isn't compatible (and I'm fairly certain you're not the only one using it).

I've used Safari with both OSX and iOS to reserve a cruise, book shore excursions, check in online, etc. for years, including as recently as last month. No problems. Pay no attention to that guy at Disney. This my experience not what "I've heard." It works!

I have too. I am a bit tech challenged so i FaceTimed with my daughter who is away at school and she walked me thru the FireFox download. It was comical but successful. It will be yet another fun disney related memory!
