Help?? Booking cruise today and I have questions

Okay so looking to book our second cruise but this time it's a little different,
1)Last time we booked a guaranteed state room, I do not even see that option anymore. How do I pick a room? We are definitely looking at inside staterooms, we are on a tight budget. How do I go about choosing a room?

2) On our last cruise, we put the 250 deposit down to be able to get the 10 percent off. How do I book my room and apply this discount and get the on board credit? If I have to do it over the phone, how do I access my reservation online? Will they ask me over the phone which specific room I'd like? Sorry, no experience booking over the phone.

1) A GTY booking is only available once a certain percentage of rooms within a category have been booked. They are not always available. Now, do you mean the last minute (discounted)*GT rooms? Those typically show up after the Paid in Full date. And only on those cruises that DCL deems as not selling well.

2) You have to call DCL to convert a placeholder to an actual reservation. I'm not sure why you want to access your account online while on the phone? Yes, they will ask if you want to book a specific room. If they don't, you ask them.

To followup on the GTY (how to see them) when you select a specific category it will tell you whether the category is in GTY status.

Has anyone stayed in rooms 5637 or 5639, these are some of the rooms available that seem to have good locations.

Once the reservation is made, you can log into the DCL site and see your reservation. It will tell you when you can book excursions. You can view excursion possibilities without being logged in.

Once the reservation is made, you can log into the DCL site and see your reservation. It will tell you when you can book excursions. You can view excursion possibilities without being logged in.

Just remember, if you book GTY you aren't picking a room.
