I have booked a trip to Disney and paid for it. I just recieved my Disney Visa and heard they were offering free dining to cardholders if the use the card. The CM I spoke with to rebook could not locate the code:confused3 . Any help would be sincerly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

I can try to book a one day and then a second starting the 9th. I guess that will become complicated.

I was booking for Nov 8-15 2008. A GREAT CM :cheer2: split the reservation so that I saved an additional $495.00 :cool1: Originally paying $4178 for the ALL STAR MUSIC- QXD / MAGIC YOUR WAY PKG + DINE. Now 2 reservations 1 st: Nov 9-15 ALL STAR MUSIC- QXZ / MAGIC YOUR WAY PKG + DINE $2864 and 2nd: a one day (Nov 8) reserv ALL STAR MUSIC- QXD / MAGIC YOUR WAY $819.
Like that I saved $495. But confused how a one day without dining is so expensive when compared to a 7 day with dining :confused3 .
Still worth the phone call and hassle.

For that one day reservation I think you need to get rid of the park tickets. A 1 day park ticket isn't cheap. Get a room only reservation for that day and maybe do downtown Disney or something. Just a thought.

This is exactly what we had to do. We arrive one day after free dining begins as well so to take advantage of that we booked a room only reservation the first night and then used the plan for the rest of our trip. We thought about getting park pass for that first day but it was so expensive for a one day pass it made no sense, especially since our plane doesn't arrive until noon. So... we will spend the day at downtown Disney, swimming in the hotel pool and doing whatever else we can in our hotel that evening. We'll be well rested to tackle the parks the next morning. It was the only thing that made sense financially. Check out how much you're paying for your one day tickets.

Is $819 for value room for one day ticket?? You must be paying for a 1 day park hopper??:confused3

Yes, your park tickets for that first day are almost $400 for one day, one park ticket. Just book room only for the first day and go to DD or pool it that first day. IMHO, not worth it. Just pay for the room, under $100, and save $700.

How weird - didn't your signature say 2009 before (now it says 2008)? I was surprised that you were asking about an offer for this year... I wonder if something is wrong with my eyes??

Oh well, I'm happy that you got a great deal!

Yes your eyes were right, I had originally entered the wrong year. Don't doubt yourself:yay: .

Do they ask you for your Visa card # when you book using the FD code?

Yes, you have to pay deposit when you make the ressie. It Has to be paid for with your card or you don't get the discount. Then, I believe you have to pay the remainder with the card also.

When I did the original booking I did not have a Disney Visa card. Disney did not make me rebook the entire trip with the Disney Visa. I had to break up the trip into 2 reservations in order to take advantage of the Free Dining offer (which starts Nov 9). I have a one day resevation for Nov 8 and a seven day for Nov 9-15. When I did this they issued a cerdit to my original card saving $1300+. I had to make the new 1 day reservation with the Disney Visa for $800+. I intend to call back tomorrow and cut out the tickets for the first day since they are over $575 of that cost and make it a room only reservation since they can't just add the day.

Your right. Sorry Disney but $500.00+ is just too much for what will be a 1/2 day after we check in. My DW and I can't justify that so it will be room only for day 1.
